đź“‹ Description

  • • As the Chief of Staff to the CEO at Lantern, you will be an indispensable strategic partner and a personal force multiplier, bringing structure, clarity, and unwavering follow-through to the CEO's office and the broader organization. This role is pivotal in enabling the CEO to focus on high-level, aspirational priorities while expertly navigating and harnessing the dynamic energy of a fast-paced growth environment. You will be instrumental in designing and refining the company’s operating cadence, facilitating critical alignment across teams, and ensuring that the right information, insights, and decisions are surfaced and acted upon at the opportune moments.
  • • Your core mission will be to create order out of complexity, transforming strategic ideas into tangible outcomes. You will be the architect of operational efficiency, the facilitator of strategic initiatives, and the guardian of the CEO's focus. This involves meticulously managing the CEO's operating system, including their priorities, calendar architecture, decision-making forums, and information flow. You will prepare the CEO for all key engagements by developing comprehensive agendas, synthesizing complex materials, and ensuring crisp, decisive outcomes.
  • • A key aspect of this role is ruthless prioritization and focus. You will act as a filter for noise, expertly triage inbound requests, and ensure that the CEO's valuable time is aligned with the most critical strategic objectives. This requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential distractions, allowing for maximum impact on the company's most important goals.
  • • You will be responsible for designing and executing the company's operating rhythm – the weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence of leadership meetings, strategic reviews, and offsites. This includes creating repeatable, scalable structures for planning, execution, and accountability across all functional teams. Your facilitation skills will be crucial in ensuring that high-impact meetings are productive, with clear agendas, thorough pre-work, defined outcomes, and diligent downstream follow-through.
  • • Leading time-bound, cross-functional strategic projects will be a significant part of your responsibilities. You will drive these initiatives from inception, providing the necessary early momentum, clarity, and structured execution. Once these efforts are stabilized and running smoothly, you will adeptly transition ownership to the relevant functional leaders, ensuring a seamless handover and sustained success.
  • • A critical function of this role is ensuring seamless alignment across all departments – including Product, Operations, Finance, IT, People, and Commercial teams – with the company-wide strategic priorities. You will proactively identify and remove organizational roadblocks, driving accountability for execution throughout the organization and fostering a culture of collaborative achievement.
  • • You will be the go-to person for analytics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and decision support. This involves building and maintaining sophisticated dashboards and briefings that distill complex data into clear, actionable insights. You will manage the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) or goal-setting cycles, meticulously tracking progress and driving accountability towards desired outcomes. Furthermore, you will proactively identify, analyze, and present risks, tradeoffs, and scenario analyses to inform the CEO's strategic decision-making process.
  • • Effective communication, context setting, and alignment are paramount. You will ensure that the CEO's priorities and strategic vision are clearly understood across the entire organization and by all executive leaders. This includes drafting critical internal updates, executive communications, board materials, and compelling strategic narratives. By fostering transparency and shared context, you will minimize ambiguity and ensure that all teams are working cohesively towards common goals.
  • • You will be a catalyst for continuous improvement and change enablement. This involves implementing efficient processes and lightweight systems that enhance the speed, quality, and consistency of operations. You will identify operational bottlenecks, propose innovative solutions, and lead improvement efforts to streamline workflows. Partnering closely with Finance, People, and IT teams on resource planning, annual cycles, and key initiatives will be essential. You will also be a key driver of effective change management, championing innovation and experimentation while adeptly navigating and resolving organizational blockers.
  • • Finally, you will play a vital role in shaping and maintaining a positive team culture and organizational health. You will keep a pulse on team engagement, morale, and cross-functional collaboration. By modeling high standards of preparation, clarity, and follow-through, you will elevate the overall effectiveness of meetings and operational processes. You will also assist in onboarding new leaders to the CEO’s operating style and coach teams on best practices for effective upward communication, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing leadership team.

  • • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and communicate them effectively.
  • • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to bring structure and process to dynamic and complex situations.
