đź“‹ Description

  • • The Chief of Staff to the CEO at Sevaro is a strategic operational role designed to turn the founder’s vision into execution during a period of aggressive growth, serving as the CEO’s right hand in aligning clinical, commercial, and technology functions while ensuring strategic commitments are tracked and delivered.
  • • This role sits at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and business strategy, offering direct exposure to high-stakes decisions in fundraising, product development, clinical delivery, and policy advocacy, all within a mission-driven organization focused on eliminating geographic disparities in stroke care.
  • • Day to day, the Chief of Staff will own the CEO’s operating rhythm by leading leadership meetings, board preparation, quarterly planning, and cross-functional reviews to ensure alignment and accountability across the organization.
  • • They will track and drive follow-through on strategic initiatives across sales, clinical operations, and product teams, building and maintaining internal scorecards, KPIs, and reporting cadences so leadership has real-time visibility into performance.
  • • Acting as connective tissue between departments, the Chief of Staff will identify misalignments early, resolve bottlenecks, and coordinate efforts to prevent organizational drag during scaling.
  • • They will lead high-priority, time-bound strategic projects such as new market entry analysis, partnership development, and program design, preparing business cases, memos, and RFP responses that move decisions forward.
  • • The role includes drafting internal communications, all-hands agendas, leadership updates, talking points, and briefing materials for investor meetings, conferences, and stakeholder conversations on behalf of the CEO.
  • • The Chief of Staff will serve as a sounding board for the CEO on organizational design, hiring priorities, and team dynamics, while also managing the advisory board’s logistics, materials, and relationship maintenance.
  • • They will identify operational gaps and build lightweight, scalable processes that support the transition from startup scrappiness to structured execution without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • • Supporting senior recruiting efforts, the Chief of Staff will manage candidate pipelines, coordinate interviews, and help develop offer strategies to attract top-tier talent.
  • • The role offers unparalleled learning opportunities: the individual will gain firsthand experience in scaling a physician-led healthtech company, navigating complex stakeholder environments involving hospital administrators, neurologists, engineers, investors, and policy leaders.
  • • They will develop cross-functional fluency in finance, clinical operations, and technology—building financial models, interpreting P&Ls, analyzing clinical outcome data, and evaluating product roadmaps—all within fast-moving, ambiguous contexts.
  • • Through direct access to the CEO’s personal and professional network, which includes healthcare executives, investors, policy advocates, and even professional athletes, the Chief of Staff will gain visibility into mission-driven work beyond commercial goals, including the CEO’s international non-profit focused on stroke education and rural healthcare access.
  • • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-intensity, founder-led environments and seeks to understand what it truly takes to build and scale a healthcare company from the ground up while maintaining a commitment to clinical excellence and social impact.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, healthcare operations, venture-backed startups, or a Chief of Staff/business operations role.
  • • Strong analytical ability spanning finance, clinical operations, and technology, including skills in financial modeling, P&L interpretation, clinical data analysis, and product roadmap evaluation.
  • • Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with limited data, tight deadlines, and competing priorities, delivering clear recommendations and structured paths forward.
  • • Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholders—hospital administrators, neurologists, sales teams, engineers, investors, and policy advocates—with the ability to adapt messaging while maintaining clarity and conviction.
  • • Bias toward action: takes ownership, solves problems without waiting for permission, and delivers excellent work consistently.
  • • Healthcare experience strongly preferred; familiarity with hospital systems, payer dynamics, or healthtech is a significant advantage.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • • Equity participation in the company.
  • • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • • Technology stipend and equipment provided for remote work.
  • • Flexibility to work 100% remotely with periodic travel to hospital partner sites and company events.
