Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire scientific portfolio of Bio Protocol—continuously scan, rank, and decide which longevity, brain-health, fertility, psychedelic, and emerging therapeutic projects advance to full funding and lab validation. You will build a living dashboard that tracks scientific risk, translational feasibility, regulatory path, and commercial upside across 50+ active assets.
- • Translate cutting-edge AI-generated hypotheses into rigorous, lab-ready experimental plans. You will co-design wet-lab protocols with PIs, set go/no-go criteria, and oversee pilot studies that prove or disprove AI predictions within 90-day sprint cycles. Your fingerprints will be on every data package that moves an asset from in-silico to IND-enabling studies.
- • Architect and run a repeatable scientific diligence engine. Create standardized rubrics for molecular rationale, target validation, pre-clinical model selection, IP freedom-to-operate, and regulatory precedent. Train a lean internal science team and external reviewers to deliver 48-hour “red-flag” memos and 2-week deep-dive reports that the DAO can trust with 8-figure funding decisions.
- • Act as the magnet for world-class academic and biotech talent. Map the global network of principal investigators, CSOs, and translational scientists; design fellowship and grant programs that pull them into Bio’s orbit; personally mentor 5–10 high-potential project leads each quarter so their science matures faster than traditional grant cycles allow.
- • Serve as Bio’s scientific evangelist to regulators, investors, and pharma partners. Present at J.P. Morgan, BIO, ASGCT, and longevity conferences; publish white papers that set industry standards for decentralized drug discovery; secure co-development or option deals that turn Bio portfolio companies into attractive acquisition targets.
- • Build an AI-native operating model that scales scientific judgment. Work with Bio’s data engineers to fine-tune LLMs on regulatory filings, peer-review literature, and internal experimental data so that every new proposal is auto-scored for novelty, risk, and commercial fit. Your team’s feedback loops will make the platform smarter with every funded project.
- • Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional Science team (initially 3–5 scientists plus rotating fellows). Define career ladders, review cadences, and knowledge-sharing rituals that keep the group at the bleeding edge of both biology and technology. Within 12 months the team will be recognized externally as the place where rigorous science meets radical innovation.
- • Deliver measurable impact: at least 5 assets advanced to IND-enabling studies, 10 high-impact publications co-authored with Bio-funded labs, and a 2× increase in follow-on capital raised by portfolio companies. Your leadership will prove that decentralized, AI-accelerated biotech can rival—and surpass—traditional pharma pipelines.
