đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the University of Baltimore School of Law’s admissions enterprise as Director of Law Admissions, orchestrating every touch-point from first inquiry through enrollment. You will supervise a dedicated team, shape strategy, and serve as the public face of UBalt Law at recruitment events across Maryland, the mid-Atlantic, and emerging national markets.
- • Own day-to-day office operations and workflow. In the Assistant Dean’s absence you will act as the final authority on admissions decisions, policy interpretation, and crisis response. You will ensure strict compliance with ABA Standard 501, University System of Maryland regulations, and UBalt policies—monitoring regulatory bulletins and implementing changes within 48 hours of release.
- • Design and execute a data-driven recruitment calendar that balances LSAC Forums, graduate-school fairs, community-college nights, and bespoke events for non-JD programs (LL.M., MSL, certificate seekers). You will negotiate booth space, assign staff travel, manage budgets, and personally represent the law school at 30+ off-campus events each cycle.
- • Architect omnichannel communication journeys that turn anonymous LSAT registrants into engaged applicants and, ultimately, enthusiastic enrollees. Using Unite (CRS) and PeopleSoft CRM, you will segment audiences, craft dynamic content, schedule drip campaigns, and A/B-test subject lines to maximize yield. Your admitted-student sequence will integrate bar-passage statistics, scholarship grids, and career-outcome stories to reinforce UBalt’s value proposition.
- • Serve as the school’s lead data scientist. You will extract, cleanse, and analyze applicant, event, and enrollment data; produce annual ABA 509 and U.S. News questionnaires; and translate findings into dashboards that guide scholarship allocation, marketing spend, and pipeline development. Quarterly, you will brief the Dean’s Cabinet on conversion rates, melt risk, and diversity metrics.
- • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in every tactic. You will cultivate relationships with HBCUs, Hispanic-serving institutions, first-generation college programs, and veteran networks to ensure UBalt’s incoming classes reflect the communities its graduates will serve.
- • Spearhead social-media strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter, collaborating with student ambassadors to create authentic content that demystifies law school and showcases UBalt’s downtown Baltimore location, experiential clinics, and tight-knit culture.
- • Coordinate with Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Development, and Academic Affairs to deliver seamless applicant experiences. You will co-host webinars on financing a JD, pre-law boot camps, and mock-class previews that convert interest into applications.
- • Oversee production and mailing of admit packets—ensuring each admitted student receives a personalized welcome kit within five business days of decision release—and manage the RSVP platform for Admitted Students Day.
- • Serve on university committees (e.g., Enrollment Management Council, Strategic Planning Steering Committee) and act as the law school’s liaison to the Office of Institutional Research, Marketing & Communications, and Information Technology.
- • Mentor and develop admissions staff through weekly one-on-ones, quarterly goal-setting, and annual performance reviews. You will create cross-training plans so every team member can execute every function—critical during peak travel season.
- • Manage the CRM data architecture, ensuring 100 % accuracy of applicant records, LSAC CAS imports, and scholarship coding. You will write ad-hoc SQL queries and train staff on best-practice data hygiene.
- • Plan and execute on-campus yield events—panel discussions with faculty, student-org fairs, courthouse visits—that immerse admits in UBalt’s collaborative culture and downtown professional ecosystem.
- • Continuously benchmark against peer schools, attending AALS, NALP, and LSAC conferences to source innovations in recruitment technology, predictive analytics, and holistic admissions practices.
- • Uphold the highest ethical standards, safeguarding confidential applicant information and ensuring every decision is transparent, consistent, and mission-aligned.
