- • As a Claim Review Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping healthcare clients optimize their financial performance by ensuring accurate coding, billing, and revenue cycle compliance for outpatient and professional fee claims.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and auditing hospital outpatient and Profee claims using proprietary PARA Data Editor software, identifying coding and billing discrepancies, preparing standardized reports, responding to client coding inquiries in clear English, and supporting client education initiatives through FAQ development and presentations.
- • You will work closely with the Director of HIM and the revenue cycle consulting team within CorroHealth, a company dedicated to improving clients’ financial health through scalable, technology-enabled solutions and clinical expertise across the reimbursement cycle.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in outpatient coding, revenue cycle management, and healthcare compliance while developing skills in data analysis, client communication, and healthcare reimbursement processes—positioning you for long-term growth in health information management and audit services.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active AAPC or AHIMA coding certification (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) – apprentice-level certifications (e.g., CPC-A) are not accepted
- • 5+ years of current, directly related experience in outpatient facility coding and auditing (ER, SDS, OBS, ancillary, IR, Profee, E/M facility, I&I)
- • Expert knowledge of revenue cycle, CMS Manual/guidelines, Medicaid guidelines, and Official Coding Guidelines including ICD-10 CM, CPT/HCPCS, HCPCS, MUE, CCI edits, and units of service
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex coding information clearly and grammatically correct in English
- • Clinical documentation and inpatient coding experience is preferred; new hires are expected to learn inpatient coding during employment
