  • • As an expert in handling high-complexity first-party property claims, the Claims Examiner II serves as a trusted advisor to policyholders, agents, carriers, and legal partners, leveraging technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to drive equitable outcomes while upholding best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing insurance policies and claim documentation to determine coverage and liability, investigating complex claims involving significant property damage, and setting accurate reserves in alignment with company philosophy.
  • • The role involves engaging third-party experts (e.g., engineers, contractors, forensic specialists) to evaluate claim validity, monitoring vendor performance to control costs, and negotiating settlements with all interested parties, including insureds, agents, and legal counsel.
  • • Claims Examiner II actively participates in litigation support by assisting in suits, mediations, and arbitrations, working closely with defense counsel to protect company interests while maintaining professionalism and transparency.
  • • The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and completing assigned claims inventory, identifying subrogation opportunities, detecting fraud indicators for referral to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), and ensuring all claim files are accurately updated and maintained.
  • • Proactive communication is essential: the role requires regular updates to insureds, agents, and other stakeholders regarding coverage decisions, information needs, and settlement progress throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • • Compliance with state adjuster licensing requirements is mandatory, including acquiring and maintaining licenses and fulfilling continuing education obligations to operate legally across jurisdictions.

🎯 Requirements
