Full Job Description

📋 Description

• Perform environment discovery, analysis of configurations, and support transition and documentation activities for database systems.
• Design database solutions across RDMS and DMS models, aligning with infrastructure, storage, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database components while ensuring security, performance, and proper access control.
• Conduct steady-state administration including monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and SLA-driven operational support.
• Optimize SQL queries in RDMS environments and access paths in DMS systems, monitoring utilization and supporting capacity planning.
• Execute database upgrades, schema changes, and reorganizations under ITIL change control procedures.
• Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes in alignment with ITIL service management frameworks.
• Utilize monitoring, scheduling, and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Maintain and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure alignment with defined RTO and RPO targets.
• Manage multiple customer database environments simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on SLA commitments and business criticality.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents and ensure continuous system availability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to support team onboarding and knowledge transfer.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong expertise in ClearPath OS2200 environments
• Experience with RDMS (SQL) and DMS database models
• Database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and administration
• ITIL / ServiceNow experience
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate in multi-client managed services environments
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
