  • • As a Client Growth Executive III at Velera, you will be instrumental in elevating the relationships with our largest and most strategically vital Member-Owner Credit Unions, transforming them into trusted partners and consulted advisors.
  • • Your primary objective is to cultivate an environment of unparalleled loyalty, strong endorsement, significant revenue growth, and dominant market share within these key accounts.
  • • This role demands a deep understanding and adept application of Velera’s comprehensive suite of products, services, organizational process improvements, risk mitigation strategies, financial performance metrics, and industry trends, including legislative and regulatory compliance.
  • • You will serve as the primary enterprise relationship manager for Velera’s highest revenue-generating and strategically important member-owner credit unions.
  • • Proactively engage with senior executives at assigned credit unions, primarily through onsite visits, to identify and develop strategic opportunities that extend the partnership and enhance portfolio performance.
  • • You will consistently monitor and articulate the value proposition of Velera’s products and solutions, demonstrating the tangible benefits of the Velera partnership to each assigned credit union.
  • • A core responsibility is the consistent delivery of Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) to all assigned clients, showcasing the value derived from Velera’s offerings.
  • • This includes actively participating in strategic planning sessions and leveraging a broad perspective to deliver relevant expertise in the payments and e-commerce industries.
  • • You will strategically align the credit union’s overarching goals and objectives with Velera’s products and services to maximize the mutual value proposition.
  • • A strategic mindset is paramount, focusing on identifying growth opportunities through a consultative sales approach that ensures credit union business objectives are met and payment portfolio performance metrics are optimized.
  • • You will diligently evaluate and interpret market intelligence that could impact Velera’s product offerings or sales strategies, reporting significant industry shifts to Velera management.
  • • Prepare compelling proposals, negotiate contractual relationships, and propose and negotiate new and renewal term agreements with credit unions.
  • • Develop and deliver accurate and timely proposals, pricing comparisons, proformas, and program analyses to support client engagements.
  • • You are responsible for maintaining and growing the revenue within your assigned book of business, including generating lead opportunities for additional line of business sales.
  • • Consistently meet or exceed established revenue growth goals through the sale of new products and services and by enhancing overall portfolio performance.
  • • Cultivate, solidify, and maintain strong, enduring account relationships that translate into excellent credit union satisfaction scores, as evidenced by periodic surveys.
  • • Act as the primary management point of contact for credit unions regarding strategic initiatives and escalated issue resolution, providing robust internal advocacy for your clients.
  • • Support the credit union’s designated executive sponsor and act as a key advocate internally at Velera.
  • • Participate in various regional meetings and industry events to promote Velera’s products and services.
  • • Prepare and deliver effective and influential presentations at Velera-sponsored events, credit union staff and Board of Directors meetings, advisory groups, and other relevant functions.
  • • Maintain open and transparent communication channels with the VP of Account Management and SVP of Account Management, promptly reporting any contract renewals that are at risk and presenting a clear plan of action for retention.
  • • Ensure timely escalation of potential relationship issues to appropriate internal Velera leaders to define ownership and accountability for resolution.
  • • Proactively analyze the client landscape and recommend, develop, and implement innovative approaches to growing Velera’s business.
  • • Maintain a current and in-depth knowledge of payment industry trends, innovations, and Velera’s products and solutions.
  • • Stay abreast of developments in the card, e-commerce, payments, and credit union industries, including knowledge of Visa, MasterCard, Velera, and competitor offerings.
  • • Collaborate closely with the product team on new product development initiatives relevant to credit union and consumer opportunities.
  • • Coordinate interdivisional and interdepartmental communications to ensure seamless service delivery for clients with both new and existing products/solutions.
  • • Engage positively and professionally in all interactions with Velera staff, clients, and business constituents.
  • • Continuously review the market landscape and propose, develop, and implement new and creative strategies for Velera business growth.
  • • In partnership with assigned Service Executives, act as a liaison for product implementations, program start-ups, and other significant projects.
  • • Maintain a close working relationship with internal departments to ensure smooth and open communication flows.
  • • Diligently maintain and update account plans for all assigned credit unions within Salesforce, ensuring opportunities are current and records for your portfolio are accurate.
  • • Ensure client information is current and entered into Velera’s client database in a timely manner.
  • • Build and maintain robust relationships with senior-level executives at large financial institutions, leveraging strong strategic account management, consultative, and cross-selling skills.
  • • Identify strategic initiatives and demonstrate a proven track record of planning, managing, and successfully closing complex, competitive sales efforts.
  • • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and company objectives.
