- • The Clinical Application Specialist is a key member of the Clinical Applications Support (CAS) team at Vytalize Health Inc., serving as a subject matter expert for Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and related clinical applications to optimize workflows and improve clinical data capture in support of value-based care initiatives.
- • Day to day, the role involves serving as a primary point of contact for EHR support and troubleshooting, analyzing clinical workflows to improve documentation and structured data capture, developing standardized EHR guidance and templates, supporting practice onboarding activities, and collaborating on configuration efforts for patient flagging, diagnosis code workflows, and quality-focused documentation.
- • The CAS team partners closely with provider practices, Practice Transformation Managers (PTMs), Operations, Performance, and internal technology teams to expand impact into workflow and EHR data optimization projects, reducing reliance on manual chart abstraction and improving quality reporting outcomes.
- • In this role, the individual can develop deep expertise in EHR platforms (Epic, NextGen, Athenahealth, etc.), gain experience in healthcare workflow optimization and clinical data enablement, contribute to value-based care initiatives, and grow into a trusted advisor for provider practices on EHR best practices and structured data capture.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associate’s degree in healthcare, business, information systems, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- • 1–3 years of experience supporting EHR systems, clinical applications, or healthcare technology environments.
- • Working knowledge of common EHR platforms such as Epic, NextGen, Athenahealth, Practice Fusion, Allscripts, or similar systems.
- • Understanding of clinical workflows, documentation practices, and structured data capture for quality reporting purposes.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of seeing issues through to resolution.
- • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
