Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Vira Health is at the forefront of transforming women's healthcare through innovative technology, offering virtual clinical care, comprehensive educational resources, and dedicated support across a wide spectrum of women's health needs. This includes fertility, hormonal health, pregnancy, parenting, perimenopause, menopause, and broader family health. By partnering with employers and health plans, Vira Health aims to significantly improve health outcomes and ensure that evidence-based women's healthcare is accessible globally. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in this mission, directly impacting the lives of millions of women who often navigate complex health decisions with insufficient information and limited time with healthcare providers. Your contribution will empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence they need to manage their health effectively.
  • In this dynamic role, you will conduct focused, meaningful virtual education sessions with members, lasting between 15 to 30 minutes. These sessions are designed to help members understand their specific health concerns, interpret scientific information, and feel well-prepared for their upcoming medical appointments. It is crucial to understand that this role does not involve clinical evaluation, prescribing medication, or ongoing patient management. Instead, the emphasis is on providing clear, unhurried conversations that are often a rarity in today's fast-paced healthcare system. You will also have the opportunity to lead group webinars and workshops, leveraging your deep expertise in specific health areas, with dedicated support from Vira’s staff. Furthermore, you will respond to general health questions submitted via asynchronous messaging on a non-urgent basis, ensuring members receive timely and accurate information. A key aspect of your role will be to provide evidence-based health information, offer practical lifestyle guidance, and share effective self-management strategies. In close collaboration with Vira Care Advocates (Navigators/Coaches), you will guide members in navigating the healthcare system and facilitate appropriate referrals to clinical services, ensuring a holistic approach to member care.
  • You will be instrumental in developing engaging Member Zone educational content, which may include articles, personalized care plans, informative videos, and materials for webinars. A critical part of your responsibility will involve reviewing existing content to ensure its clinical accuracy, incorporating the latest relevant evidence, and adhering to current practice guidelines. You will also be tasked with developing educational materials that are not only clinically sound but also culturally sensitive and appropriate for diverse audiences across various geographical backgrounds. This includes collaborating with Vira's internal resources to effectively translate complex medical information into easily understandable and member-friendly content. Ensuring that all educational materials comply with regulatory requirements across different markets is paramount to maintaining Vira Health's commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Beyond content creation and direct member interaction, you will actively participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of Vira Health's educational offerings and protocols. You will also contribute to the development of clinical pathways and member education protocols, helping to standardize and elevate the quality of care provided. Collaboration is a cornerstone of this role; you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including fellow clinicians, product development teams, and operations staff, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to member support and education. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and ensures that Vira Health remains at the cutting edge of women's healthcare technology and education.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development. You will gain invaluable experience in a rapidly expanding global digital health platform, contributing to the strategic direction of clinical education. The flexible, part-time nature of the engagement allows for a healthy work-life balance while providing significant potential for increased involvement as the company grows and expands into new markets. By empowering members with knowledge and fostering health literacy, you will directly contribute to improved health outcomes for women and families worldwide, making a tangible difference in people's lives.

🎯 Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN), Registered/Certified Midwife (RM, CNM), Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Clinical Psychologist, or an equivalent licensed healthcare professional qualification with a current active license/registration in good standing in your country of practice.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience specifically within women's health, encompassing specialties such as OB/GYN, maternal health, reproductive health, menopause care, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience with virtual or telehealth platforms and a demonstrated ability in remote patient engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of women's health across the entire lifespan, from fertility through menopause.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex medical concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Cultural humility and a genuine, demonstrable commitment to health equity.
  • Comfort and proficiency working independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with digital health platforms and video conferencing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Preferred: Experience creating digital health content or e-learning materials.
  • Preferred: Multi-lingual capabilities, with proficiency in French, Arabic, German, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, Dutch, or Spanish being particularly valued.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience and location.
  • Flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely.
  • Opportunities for professional development and support for continuing education.
  • The chance to shape the clinical education strategy for a growing global platform.
