📋 Description
- • Vira Health is a pioneering women's healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming health outcomes and accessibility for women globally. We provide comprehensive virtual clinical care, robust educational resources, and essential support services spanning a wide spectrum of women's health, including fertility, hormonal health, pregnancy, parenting, perimenopause, menopause, and family health. By partnering with employers and health plans, Vira Health aims to bridge the gap in healthcare information and empower individuals to navigate their health journeys with confidence and clarity. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of this mission, directly impacting the lives of millions of women who often face complex health decisions with insufficient guidance and limited time with healthcare providers.
- • As a Clinical Educator within our Member Zone, you will engage in focused, meaningful virtual interactions with members, dedicating 15–30 minute sessions to help them comprehend their health concerns, interpret scientific information, and feel thoroughly prepared for their subsequent medical appointments. This role is distinct from traditional clinical practice; it does not involve clinical evaluation, prescribing medication, or ongoing patient management. Instead, it centers on providing the kind of clear, unhurried, and informative conversations that are increasingly rare in contemporary healthcare systems. Your primary function will be to enhance health literacy, promote disease prevention, and empower individuals to make well-informed health decisions, contributing significantly to Vira Health's mission of making evidence-based women's healthcare accessible worldwide. This position is ideally suited for an experienced clinician who possesses a deep passion for health education and empowerment, coupled with a desire for a flexible, part-time engagement that offers substantial growth potential as Vira Health's global platform continues its expansion.
- • Key responsibilities include conducting virtual clinical education-only calls with members on a variety of health topics within your areas of expertise, such as fertility, hormonal health, pregnancy, menopause, family health, and men's health. It is important to note that as no formal provider-patient relationship is established, there are no associated licensing or accreditation limitations or costs. You will also lead group webinars and workshops, leveraging your deep expertise in specific areas, with dedicated support from Vira’s staff. Additionally, you will respond to general health questions submitted via asynchronous messaging on a non-urgent basis, ensuring members receive timely and accurate information. A core part of the role involves providing evidence-based health information, practical lifestyle guidance, and effective self-management strategies tailored to individual needs. In close collaboration with Vira Care Advocates (Navigators/Coaches), you will guide members in identifying appropriate clinical care pathways and facilitate necessary referrals, ensuring a seamless transition to further medical support when required.
- • Beyond direct member interaction, you will play a crucial role in content development and clinical quality assurance. This includes creating engaging Member Zone educational content in various formats such as articles, care plans, videos, and webinar materials. You will be responsible for reviewing existing content to ensure its clinical accuracy, incorporating the latest relevant evidence, and aligning with current practice guidelines. A significant aspect of this responsibility involves developing educational materials that are culturally sensitive and appropriate for diverse audiences across different geographical backgrounds. You will collaborate closely with Vira’s internal resources to validate the translation of complex medical information into easily understandable, member-friendly content. Furthermore, you will ensure that all educational materials strictly comply with regulatory requirements across all target markets, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- • The role also emphasizes quality assurance and collaborative efforts within the Vira Health team. You will actively participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of our services and member outcomes. Your input will be valuable in the development of clinical pathways and member education protocols, helping to standardize and optimize the delivery of care. You will collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including fellow clinicians, product development specialists, and operations personnel, fostering a cohesive and productive work environment. This collaborative approach ensures that Vira Health remains at the cutting edge of women's healthcare technology and education, consistently delivering exceptional value to its members and partners.
- • This position offers a flexible, part-time engagement, with initial opportunities starting at approximately 4 hours per month. The potential for increased involvement is significant and will be driven by member demand, the expansion of Vira Health into new geographic regions, and your individual performance. While hours are flexible, there is an expectation of some availability for live member sessions during peak demand periods in the geographies where individual clinical education sessions are offered. This flexibility allows you to balance your professional responsibilities with other commitments while contributing meaningfully to a growing and impactful organization. As our member base expands, so too will the opportunities for you to deepen your involvement and contribute to shaping the future of women's health education.
🎯 Requirements
- • Registered Nurse (RN), Registered/Certified Midwife (RM, CNM), Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Clinical Psychologist, or an equivalent licensed healthcare professional qualification with a current, active license/registration in good standing in your country of practice.
- • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience specifically within women's health, encompassing specialties such as OB/GYN, maternal health, reproductive health, menopause care, or a closely related field.
- • Proven experience with virtual/telehealth platforms and a demonstrated ability in remote patient engagement, coupled with strong knowledge of women's health across the lifespan, from fertility through menopause.
- • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex medical concepts in clear, accessible language, alongside cultural humility and a genuine commitment to advancing health equity.
- • Proficiency with digital health platforms and video conferencing tools, combined with strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage time effectively while working independently in a remote environment.
- • Preferred: Experience in creating digital health content or e-learning materials, and multi-lingual capabilities, particularly in French, Arabic, German, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, Dutch, or Spanish.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and location.
- • Flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely, offering a strong work-life balance.
- • Opportunities for professional development and support for continuing education.
- • The chance to shape clinical education strategy for a rapidly growing global platform and make a significant impact on women's health worldwide.
