  • • Your primary responsibility will involve the meticulous gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens. Following this examination, you will be tasked with preparing comprehensive pathology reports in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring that caseload and turnaround time expectations are consistently met.
  • • A key aspect of this role is providing direct telephone consultations to clients, offering expert advice and interpretation of diagnostic findings. This requires a deep understanding of veterinary medicine and the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, actionable guidance.
  • • You will collaborate closely with and provide support to other pathologists, fostering a collegial environment and ensuring the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy across the team. This collaborative approach is vital for knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • • You will partner with, advise, and assist laboratory personnel in implementing and maintaining proper specimen processing techniques. As the pathologist on duty, you will be the primary point of contact for diagnostic inquiries and will ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory's diagnostic functions.
  • • To contribute to the growth and success of IDEXX, you will actively participate in pathologist meetings, sharing insights and contributing to strategic discussions. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining professional relationships and contacts with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador for the company.
  • • Upholding the integrity of our diagnostic services, you will participate diligently in quality control programs, ensuring that all procedures and results meet rigorous standards.
  • • Continuous professional development is essential. You will maintain and enhance your proficiency and diagnostic skills through regular engagement in continuing education opportunities, staying abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary clinical pathology.
