- • The Sr Clinical Data Specialist role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant laboratory data delivery across global clinical trials, directly supporting the integrity of medical research and drug development.
- • Day to day, the individual will lead local lab data activities for in-house and outsourced studies, partner with CROs and vendors to ensure high-quality data collection and reconciliation, manage lab analytes and standards, represent local labs in project meetings, and collaborate with Clinical Operations, Biometrics, Medical, and Regulatory teams to drive study success from startup through database lock.
- • The role sits within Fortrea Holdings Inc.’s Clinical Data Management (CDM) team, a global organization dedicated to shaping the future of medicine through science, data, and collaboration, with a focus on high scientific standards and continuous process improvement.
- • In this role, the individual can deepen expertise in clinical data management, gain experience in global trial coordination, develop leadership in vendor and cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to process automation and data quality initiatives that impact drug development timelines and outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, life sciences, technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- • 3+ years of experience in Clinical Data Management or drug development
- • Strong knowledge of local lab data management best practices and technologies
- • Experience working with CROs and external vendors
- • Solid understanding of clinical trial documents and processes
- • Ability to manage multiple studies and priorities simultaneously
- • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- • Experience with NDA/CTD submissions is a plus
- • Must be currently based in Costa Rica
