• • In the role of Mortgage Loan Closing Funding Manager, you will be instrumental in leading a dedicated team of closers and funders. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all loans are closed accurately, efficiently, and in strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and investor guidelines. This position demands a hands-on leader capable of providing exceptional coaching, mentorship, and workflow optimization. You will also be expected to collaborate effectively across various departments, including processing, underwriting, secondary markets, compliance, and post-closing teams.
• • You will be a key architect in building out scalable operations and defining how Valon delivers seamless, customer-centric closing experiences. Your leadership will directly impact the efficiency and quality of our closing and funding processes.
• • Key responsibilities include leading and managing the daily operations of the Closing and Funding team, ensuring that loan closings and disbursements are executed in a timely and compliant manner. This involves overseeing the meticulous preparation, thorough review, and timely delivery of all closing packages, ensuring they meet company, investor, and regulatory standards.
• • A critical aspect of this role is ensuring strict compliance with TRID, RESPA, and agency regulations across all loan closings. You will serve as the primary escalation point for complex closing issues, coordinating effective resolutions with both internal teams and external stakeholders to mitigate risks and ensure smooth transactions.
• • Maintaining rigorous quality control standards is paramount. You will work closely with the Compliance and Post-Closing departments to promptly address any audit findings or necessary file corrections, upholding the integrity of our loan portfolio.
• • You will be responsible for effective pipeline management and strategic resource allocation to consistently meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and investor delivery timelines, ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• • A significant part of your role will involve building and refining scalable processes that demonstrably improve efficiency, enhance accuracy, and elevate the overall borrower experience. This includes identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that streamline operations.
• • You will be tasked with training, coaching, and developing your team members, providing regular, constructive performance feedback and actively supporting their career growth within Valon. Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development is essential.
• • Collaboration with Product and Engineering teams is crucial. You will provide valuable operational feedback to inform process automation initiatives and system enhancements, ensuring our technology stack effectively supports our operational needs.
