- • As the first dedicated Global Controller at SunnyData Inc., you will own the accounting backbone of a fast-scaling, multi-entity, multi-country services business, turning it into a function that can carry the company through its next stage of growth.
- • You will own the global close, consolidation across the US parent and international subsidiaries (Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, and Nepal), design and operate scalable internal controls, manage intercompany and transfer pricing flows, lead audit and tax compliance, support cash and treasury functions, lead financial planning and forecasting, and manage and develop the Accounting Manager in Uruguay while directing third-party accounting partners across entities.
- • SunnyData is a leading Databricks technology partner empowering customers with scalable architectures, robust data engineering pipelines, seamless data consumption layers, and advanced ML and AI applications, operating as a high-growth consulting company with a mission to enable strategic data-driven decision-making.
- • You will build and improve accounting processes from the ground up, gain visibility into global financial operations, develop leadership skills managing international teams and vendors, and position yourself as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership with real-time financial insights.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership with recent experience owning the close and consolidation for a multi-entity organization
- • Active US CPA credential
- • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- • Hands-on accounting experience in a professional services or technology consulting business
- • Deep command of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- • Proven track record managing external audits and coordinating tax compliance across entities
- • Experience managing accounting staff and directing third-party providers or outsourced accounting partners
- • Builder's mindset with a track record of standing up or materially improving accounting processes
