- • Manage all aspects of the loan settlement process from initial lender requests through loan funding and recording.
- • Review purchase contracts to extract key terms, fee allocations, and credits accurately.
- • Prepare and balance Closing Disclosures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- • Review and verify all loan documents for accuracy prior to signing, identifying and requesting necessary corrections.
- • Schedule and coordinate signing appointments with buyers and notaries in alignment with transaction timelines.
- • Examine signed loan packages for completeness and compliance before submitting to the lender for funding.
- • Clear all lender funding conditions by following up on outstanding requirements and ensuring timely submission of documentation.
- • Confirm receipt of all buyer and lender funds and initiate follow-up actions to prevent delays in closing.
- • Review recording documents for accuracy and initiate changes or corrections as needed to ensure successful recording.
- • Provide timely and proactive updates to real estate agents and transaction coordinators regarding loan status and potential delays.
- • Serve as backup for Closing Advisors (Escrow Officers), acting as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in the transaction.
- • Monitor and respond to team email communications to ensure no inquiries or deadlines are missed.
- • Support seasonal volume demands in the Southern California market through summer 2026 in a fully remote capacity.
- • Utilize provided equipment and complete virtual training to perform all duties remotely without on-site requirements.
- • Maintain meticulous organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment.
- • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of closing timelines.
- • Adhere to all compliance standards and internal procedures governing residential real estate closings.
- • Adapt to shifting priorities and urgent deadlines common in real estate settlement workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience as an escrow assistant or equivalent role
- • Attention to detail and the ability to be organized in a fast-paced environment
- • Experience with residential purchase transactions in Southern California (preferred)
- • 1+ year of escrow experience building Closing Disclosures, Closing Statements, HUD-1 Settlement Statements (preferred)
