📋 Description

• As a Cloud and Systems Architect at Resultant, you will be at the forefront of driving digital transformation for our diverse clientele, spanning both public and private sectors. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on engaging directly with stakeholders at all organizational levels, possessing a deep-seated understanding of the intricate balance required to manage both on-premise and cloud-native software implementations. You will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into actionable, robust technical solutions, ensuring seamless and efficient modernization journeys.
• Your primary responsibility will be to lead end-to-end modernization initiatives for legacy applications and endpoints. This involves hands-on experience in migrating these systems from on-premise environments to cutting-edge cloud-native platforms, with a strong emphasis on Azure, VMware, Microsoft 365 (M365), and Microsoft Intune. You will develop comprehensive migration roadmaps, meticulously assess application and infrastructure readiness, and implement strategies that guarantee minimal disruption to ongoing business operations.
• A key aspect of this role involves architecting and implementing sophisticated multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies. Your focus will be on facilitating secure, scalable, and cost-effective transitions to leading cloud providers such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes evaluating and selecting the most appropriate cloud and datacenter services to meet stringent requirements for scalability, security, and economic efficiency.
• You will design and provide expert advice on hybrid networking architectures. This encompasses high-level planning for routing, firewall configurations, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and establishing private connectivity between on-premise datacenters and cloud environments, ensuring robust and secure communication channels.
• Furthermore, you will define and guide hybrid data architecture strategies. This involves planning for the integration of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) with cloud storage solutions like Azure Files, Blob Storage, and AWS S3 buckets. A critical component is ensuring seamless cross-platform access for both structured and unstructured data, maintaining data integrity and accessibility.
• Your role will also extend to assessing and optimizing existing infrastructure and deployment methodologies. You will align these with established cloud adoption frameworks and overarching business goals, ensuring that the infrastructure is primed for cloud integration and future growth.
• You will be responsible for designing and documenting scalable, secure, and highly reliable system architectures. This includes creating detailed visual diagrams, comprehensive technical documentation, and clear implementation plans that serve as blueprints for successful deployments.
• A significant part of your work will involve architecting and overseeing VMware environments. This includes deep expertise in vSphere, VMFS, efficient storage provisioning, and seamless integration with various cloud platforms, ensuring a cohesive hybrid infrastructure.
• You will implement and champion best practices for hybrid software deployment and endpoint management. Leveraging tools like Intune, Azure, and M365, you will ensure compliance, manage lifecycles effectively, and enhance endpoint security.
• Collaboration is paramount. You will work closely with service desk, engineering, security, and business teams to collaboratively define, refine, and execute modernization strategies, fostering a unified approach to IT infrastructure.
• You will provide crucial technical leadership in cloud architecture, governance, and adoption. This involves translating complex business needs into robust, technically sound solutions that drive business value.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive cloud governance frameworks is essential. This includes establishing policies for identity and access management, data protection, resource usage, and cost management.
• Conducting thorough assessments of cloud environments will be a regular activity, identifying opportunities for performance optimization, significant cost savings, and enhanced security posture.
• You will lead automation initiatives, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Azure DevOps, to promote Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps best practices.
• Mentoring and coaching team members on cloud technologies, VMware architecture, hybrid networking, and data strategies will be vital in fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
• You will also support pre-sales activities, including conducting workshops, gathering detailed requirements from potential clients, and contributing to the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Finally, you will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that may arise across cloud infrastructure, networking, identity management, and VMware environments, ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance.
• Staying abreast of the latest trends in cloud computing, identity management, networking, and hybrid data platforms is crucial. You will proactively recommend and implement improvements to keep Resultant and its clients at the cutting edge of technology.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and implementing end-to-end cloud migrations (Azure, GCP, AWS) and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, networking, storage, and integration with cloud platforms.
• Expertise in designing and implementing hybrid networking architectures (routing, firewalls, VPNs, private connectivity).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience with endpoint management solutions like Microsoft Intune and M365.
