📋 Description

• • Join MassMutual Romania’s Cloud Operations organization as a Cloud Engineer (Cloud Security Operations) and become the cornerstone of a 170-year-old financial-services giant’s digital future. You will sit at the intersection of security, infrastructure, and innovation, translating complex business needs into resilient, automated, and secure cloud solutions that protect millions of customers and their loved ones.
• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, ensuring every deployment is repeatable, auditable, and compliant with the strictest financial-services regulations. You will design, build, and harden landing zones, network segments, IAM boundaries, and encryption schemes while baking security controls directly into Infrastructure-as-Code templates.
• • Partner daily with Cloud Platform Engineering, Security Architects, Site Reliability Engineers, and Product Owners to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and incident-response playbooks. You will participate in blameless post-mortems, chaos-engineering drills, and game-day exercises that continuously raise the bar for availability, confidentiality, and integrity.
• • Automate every repeatable task using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible, orchestrated through GitHub Actions or Jenkins. From golden-image pipelines to drift-detection jobs, your code will eliminate toil and free the team to focus on high-value innovation.
• • Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) with security-first configurations—Pod Security Policies, OPA Gatekeeper policies, network policies, and secrets management—while enabling development teams to ship faster and safer.
• • Engineer monitoring, alerting, and observability stacks that surface actionable insights. You will define SLAs, tune thresholds, and build self-healing mechanisms that detect anomalies before customers feel them.
• • Serve as a technical mentor and agile squad lead, guiding junior engineers through story grooming, code reviews, and pair-programming sessions. Your leadership will foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and psychological safety.
• • Provide white-glove customer service to internal stakeholders—translating cryptic error messages into plain language, running brown-bag sessions on cloud best practices, and creating runbooks that empower others to resolve issues autonomously.
• • Stay ahead of an ever-evolving tech stack by upskilling and cross-skilling in areas such as confidential computing, policy-as-code, AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot), and zero-trust networking. Your curiosity will directly influence MassMutual’s next 20 million customers.
