� Description

• • Join the ION Group Graduate Development Program in Pisa and launch a three-year career acceleration journey as a Cloud Engineer. You will rotate through mission-critical product teams, shipping cloud-native solutions that power trading and workflow automation for 4,800+ global customers including central banks, governments, and Fortune 500 corporations.
• • From day one you will be entrusted with production-grade responsibilities: designing micro-services on AWS, Azure, and GCP; hardening containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Istio, and OPA; and automating everything with Python, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. Each six-month rotation pairs you with a senior mentor who will coach you on architecture decisions, cost optimisation, and security-by-design patterns.
• • You will participate in our secure-SDLC sprints, embedding DevSecOps guardrails into CI/CD pipelines. Expect to write Infrastructure-as-Code modules that provision multi-region clusters, enforce policy-as-code, and pass SOC-2 and ISO-27001 audits. Your code will ship to environments handling billions of euros in daily trading volume, so reliability, latency, and compliance are non-negotiable.
• • Continuous learning is baked into the program: monthly internal tech-talks, funded AWS/GCP certifications, Capture-the-Flag security labs, and quarterly hackathons where you prototype emerging tech such as confidential computing and serverless workflows. You will also receive 360-degree feedback from engineering managers, product owners, and peers to accelerate your growth into a future technical leader.
• • Collaboration is global. You will pair-program with colleagues in New York, London, and Singapore, join architecture guilds that define standards across 60 offices, and present your solutions to senior VPs during our bi-annual Innovation Days. English is our working language, and you will refine both written and verbal communication skills through design-doc reviews and customer demos.
• • By the end of year one you will own at least one end-to-end service, complete with SLIs/SLOs, chaos-testing, and automated rollback. Year two expands your scope to cross-team platform initiatives—think multi-cloud cost governance or zero-trust networking. In year three you will lead a small tiger team, mentor the next graduate cohort, and influence the technical roadmap for a product line that serves millions of end-users.

• • Location is our vibrant Pisa tech hub—five minutes from the Leaning Tower and ten from the beach. Our office features standing desks, dual 4K monitors, a fully stocked kitchen, and a rooftop terrace for sunset stand-ups. � Requirements

• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline obtained within the last 12 months or currently completing
• • Proficiency in Python or another scripting language and basic familiarity with Java or Go
• • Foundational understanding of cloud computing, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies
• • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
• • B2 or higher level of written and spoken English
• • Italian residency, willingness to relocate to Pisa, or existing EU work authorization
