Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Join evoila, the European trailblazer in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Native, Data & AI, and App Modernisation, as we expand rapidly across Spain. You will become a core member of our senior cloud engineering squad, immediately entrusted with high-impact customer engagements after an intensive, hands-on onboarding program that turns theory into battlefield expertise.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Kubernetes-centric solutions on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). From the first requirements workshop in Madrid (fully remote-friendly) to the triumphant go-live, you translate business ambitions into rock-solid, secure, and scalable container platforms.
  • Lead discovery sessions with enterprise stakeholders to elicit, challenge, and refine functional and non-functional requirements for vSphere Supervisor with VCF. Translate findings into crisp technical blueprints that balance innovation, cost, and risk.
  • Architect and document Kubernetes platforms on vSphere, covering multi-tenancy, network segmentation, persistent storage, image supply-chain security, ingress/egress policies, and zero-trust posture. Present designs in strategy workshops, defend decisions, and obtain buy-in from architects, security officers, and DevOps teams alike.
  • Craft phased implementation roadmaps that de-risk complex migrations and green-field builds. Sequence tasks so that early wins build momentum while long-term capabilities are delivered without disruption to critical business services.
  • Roll up your sleeves and deploy: provision Supervisor Namespaces, configure network policies, wire persistent volumes, install and tune Contour or Nginx ingress controllers, integrate Harbor as a trusted registry, and lock down traffic with cert-manager issued certificates.
  • Troubleshoot live clusters like a detective—read fluent kubectl, vSphere, and NSX-T logs, reproduce issues in lab replicas, patch CNI misconfigurations, and document root-cause analyses that prevent repeat incidents.
  • Design and automate Service Catalogs on VCF Automation, enabling internal customers to self-service namespaces, quotas, and policies in minutes instead of days. Codify guardrails so that freedom and governance coexist.
  • Champion GitOps: wire GitLab CI or GitHub Actions pipelines that lint, test, and promote Helm charts and Terraform modules across dev, staging, and prod clusters. Make "push to main" the safest action in the company.
  • Integrate Tanzu Mission Control (TMC) for fleet-wide policy management and Velero for bullet-proof backup & disaster recovery. Prove RPO/RTO targets under chaos-engineering fire-drills.
  • Automate everything that moves: author Ansible playbooks, Terraform modules, and PowerShell scripts that turn manual runbooks into one-click workflows. Reduce toil so the team can focus on higher-order problems.
  • Contribute to migration factories that lift, shift, and modernise legacy monoliths into cloud-native microservices. Coach customer DevOps squads on Kubernetes idioms, observability, and progressive delivery techniques.
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with VMware, Microsoft, and other strategic partners; field-test beta features, feed real-world feedback into product roadmaps, and showcase joint success stories at meetups and conferences.
  • Live our culture: curiosity, craftsmanship, and candor. Share knowledge in internal guilds, mentor junior engineers, and keep the "no fluff, just expertise and impact" promise in every customer interaction.
