- • Day-to-day responsibilities include coding ER and outpatient records using ICD-10 standards, applying CCI/medical necessity edits, monitoring unbilled accounts to ensure timely coding, and maintaining a minimum 95% quality and productivity rate.
- • The role operates within the Health Information Clinical Coding team at the Yale Campus, supporting a healthcare organization committed to accurate clinical documentation and revenue integrity in a remote work environment based in Oklahoma.
- • This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in clinical coding, gain experience with healthcare billing systems, and build foundational skills for advancement in health information management through required continuing education and performance accountability.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or GED
- • Completion of an accredited coding program with a score of 80% or higher on the outpatient coding exam
- • Demonstrated knowledge of basic ICD-10 coding, anatomy, and physiology
- • Proficiency with PC and standard software applications
