📋 Description

• As a Coding Integrity Specialist at R1 RCM Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate medical coding that directly impacts hospital reimbursement, compliance, and financial performance in the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Day to day, you will conduct complex coding reviews for reimbursement, public reporting, and pay-for-performance programs; collaborate with CDI teams to resolve documentation inconsistencies and DRG variances; perform pre-bill and post-bill account reviews for quality and risk (including HAC, PSI, Mortalities); validate coding for appropriate reimbursement with hospital leadership; identify coding trends requiring education; and provide feedback to coders through automated notifications.
• You will join a growing team of revenue cycle professionals at R1 RCM Inc., a leader in technology-driven healthcare solutions that combine deep expertise with advanced analytics, AI, and intelligent automation to transform patient experience and financial outcomes for hospitals and health systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in HIM-related fields or CCS credential
• Minimum 5 years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to comprehend and analyze large quantities of operational data
• Ability to review complex medical records
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
