📋 Description

  • The Coding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day coding activities for acute care or physician facilities, ensuring Accounts Receivable and Discharged Not Billed goals are met while supporting the Manager or Director in operational execution.
  • Daily responsibilities include staffing, organizing, and directing coding teams; coaching and developing staff; conducting performance evaluations; monitoring workflow, productivity, and quality; performing routine audits; maintaining compliance with federal and state coding guidelines; assisting in policy development; serving as a technical and clinical resource for coding questions; completing schedules and timecards; and assigning accurate codes (including DRG, POA, and modifiers) when workload demands.
