📋 Description

• As a CoE Technical Expert – AI & Object Storage (AMER) at Hitachi Vantara, you will serve as a technical authority and evangelist for the Hitachi iQ AI platform and object storage portfolio, driving high-impact Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrations that showcase how VSP One Object, Hitachi Content Platform (HCP), and HCP Anywhere Enterprise enable modern AI/ML workloads and unstructured data management at scale.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading the technical validation of the Hitachi iQ AI platform, architecting data lake solutions using S3-compatible object storage for AI/ML pipelines, building and maintaining 'Gold Standard' lab environments to demonstrate high-performance storage and metadata capabilities, and implementing HCP Anywhere Enterprise for secure, global collaboration in AI-driven workflows.
• You will lead hands-on configuration, tuning, and lifecycle management of Hitachi iQ, VSP One Object, HCP, and HCP Anywhere Enterprise; architect hybrid cloud storage solutions integrating on-premises object storage with public cloud and containerized platforms (OpenShift, VMware, Kubernetes); and serve as a subject matter expert on S3 API, REST, and advanced metadata tagging for AI data classification and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows.
• Automation is central to your role: you will use Ansible and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deploy storage infrastructure rapidly, and leverage Python, JavaScript, and Shell scripting to build data pipelines that automate movement of data from edge to AI data lake.
• Beyond technical execution, you will deliver 'enchanting' presentations at industry conferences and executive briefings, and create compelling multimedia content using Blender, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects to visually communicate complex AI storage architectures through 3D renders, diagrams, and video.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related Engineering field (or equivalent high-level professional experience).
• 7+ years in Enterprise Storage Engineering with a focus on Object Storage (S3, HCP) and unstructured data.
• 3+ years specifically focused on AI/ML Infrastructure, Data Lakes, or High-Performance Computing (HPC).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Virtualization and Containers (VMware, OpenShift, or Kubernetes).
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, and Shell scripting for automation and infrastructure as code.
• Proven track record in public speaking and technical evangelism, with ability to deliver engaging presentations to large audiences.
• Professional-grade proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Blender, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality technical video, 3D renders, or architectural diagrams.
