- • The Collections Specialist at Brown & Brown Insurance plays a critical role in ensuring timely payment of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) invoices by managing the full lifecycle of fee-related activities, directly supporting the company’s mission to deliver exceptional service to claimants and customers while upholding financial integrity.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include calling SSA Payment Centers to check the status of outstanding SSDI invoices, analyzing documents and responding to fee-related correspondence from SSA, claimants, and customers, preparing and submitting SSDI Fee Petition Templates to the appropriate SSA offices, following up on fee petition payment inquiries, maintaining current collection notes in Salesforce for all invoices over 30 days delinquent, and building and sustaining extensive contacts across SSA Payment Centers with Benefit Authorizers, Claim Authorizers, and Deputy and Mod managers.

🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of office experience; prior telephone support experience is a plus.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Salesforce and Workday is a plus.
- • Strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, and exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
