📋 Description

• As a Commercial Analyst - Marketplace at Carwow Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in sustaining and accelerating the growth of one of Europe’s largest online car-changing platforms, directly contributing to a business that facilitated nearly £3bn in vehicle transactions last year and continues to scale rapidly following strategic acquisitions like Autovia.
• Your work will ensure marketplace health and performance transparency by identifying underperforming areas, diagnosing root causes, and driving actionable insights that empower senior leadership to make informed, strategic decisions across the Get Your Car (GYC) business.
• Day to day, you will monitor and report on daily trading and forecasting performance, preparing and leading weekly trading meetings where you distil complex data into clear, prioritised actions and track the impact of implemented initiatives.
• You will collaborate with GYC teams to develop tactical levers for improving marketplace efficiency, holding stakeholders accountable for performance and initiating cross-functional projects to enhance both new and used car marketplace operations.
• Partnering closely with the marketing team, you will feed market-specific insights into campaign discussions, identifying growth opportunities and threats, and helping determine which levers to pull for sustainable marketplace expansion.
• Acting as a key liaison with the Data Science & Analytics team, you will share business context to enrich analytical work and ensure weekly priority planning focuses on the highest-impact topics based on performance trends.
• You will develop and refine reporting frameworks that enable the business to quickly respond to shifts in performance, creating a culture of accountability and agility in decision-making.
• Through your analysis, you will translate complex datasets into compelling narratives that highlight second-order implications, enabling leaders to anticipate market shifts and act proactively.

🎯 Requirements

• Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex insights clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Experience in an analytical role combined with strong commercial acumen, including the ability to extract narratives from complex data and infer second-order business implications
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, drive strategic actions, and manage projects from insight to implementation
• Strong bias for action and proven experience solving ambiguous, unstructured problems using data-driven approaches
• Passion for data analysis and natural aptitude for problem-solving, with the skill to mould analytical output into clear, actionable storylines
• Basic SQL skills with a willingness to develop further, coupled with advanced proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting
