  • • As we continue our impressive growth trajectory, we are seeking a skilled Commercial Claims Adjuster - Physical Damage to join and strengthen our internal claims program. This pivotal role is instrumental in building and maintaining Nirvana's world-class claims organization. You will be responsible for managing both first and third-party claims, with a specific focus on physical damage and cargo claims. A key aspect of your role will involve auditing and actively driving claim success when working with our third-party claims administrators. We operate as a distributed team, with colleagues across the US, Chile, and India, and maintain offices in San Francisco, CA, Columbus, OH, New York, NY, and Atlanta, GA. This specific position is a hybrid role, based out of our Atlanta (Buckhead) office.
  • • In this capacity, you will meticulously analyze insurance coverage in relation to the specific facts of each loss, ensuring accurate application of policy terms and conditions. You will be empowered to make well-informed liability decisions, critically considering factors such as comparative negligence to determine fault and responsibility. A crucial part of your role will involve close collaboration with claims leadership on managing severity losses, adjusting reserves accurately, and conducting thorough claim evaluations. You will leverage your negotiation skills to achieve fair and timely settlements with both first and third-party claimants, always aiming for optimal outcomes.
  • • Your ability to effectively utilize the wealth of data available within our systems will be key to identifying and addressing claim trends, contributing to our overall risk mitigation strategies. You will also be expected to contribute to special projects and undertake additional duties as assigned, reflecting your integral role as an individual contributor within our dynamic claims organization. This role demands a proactive, data-driven approach to claims handling, aligning with Nirvana's mission to innovate and lead in the commercial insurance space.
