- • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including SaaS, licensing, vendor, and partnership contracts for a blockchain infrastructure company.
- • Advise sales, business development, and product teams on contract structures, risk allocation, and compliance matters in regulated technology environments.
- • Provide legal guidance on go-to-market initiatives and product launches within the digital asset ecosystem, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks.
- • Support the development and continuous improvement of standardized contract templates, legal playbooks, and scalable legal processes to support rapid company growth.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, compliance, and operations teams to streamline deal execution, reduce legal bottlenecks, and mitigate operational risk.
- • Stay current on regulatory developments impacting digital assets, financial services, and technology transactions in the U.S. and global markets.
- • Work directly with global business teams across multiple time zones to deliver timely legal support for international commercial operations.
- • Balance legal precision with commercial practicality to enable business objectives while maintaining appropriate risk controls in a fast-scaling organization.
- • Contribute to the scaling of legal operations as Blockdaemon expands its suite of blockchain infrastructure solutions including dedicated nodes, APIs, staking, liquid staking, and MPC technology.
- • Ensure legal practices align with Blockdaemon’s ISO-27001 certification and institutional-grade security and compliance standards.
- • Engage with customers including exchanges, custodians, crypto platforms, financial institutions, and developers to support their legal and contractual needs.
- • Maintain awareness of Web3 regulatory frameworks and their implications for commercial agreements and product delivery.
- • Operate remotely with full autonomy while maintaining high standards of communication, organization, and responsiveness across distributed teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • J.D. from an accredited law school with active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
- • 4–7 years of experience in commercial or technology transactions, ideally combining both law firm and in-house experience
- • Solid understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and evolving Web3 regulatory frameworks
- • Demonstrated ability to independently negotiate, draft, and close complex commercial agreements
- • Strong business judgment with a pragmatic approach to balancing legal risk and operational efficiency in a fast-scaling organization
- • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
