📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with a primary focus on go-to-market and sales transactions across the APAC region, including enterprise customer contracts for SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships.
• Partner closely with sales, business development, and operations teams to design and implement go-to-market strategies that drive growth while ensuring legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor, interpret, and apply evolving regional legal and regulatory developments in data protection, technology, and artificial intelligence frameworks to inform contract drafting and risk assessment.
• Develop, maintain, and localize standardized contract templates, playbooks, and internal policies to align with APAC-specific legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially oriented legal advice to cross-functional teams, balancing innovation and risk to enable responsible business expansion.
• Contribute to scaling the Legal Team’s commercial function by building scalable processes and fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture across global teams.
• Advise on enterprise software licensing, intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues impacting APAC operations.
• Work autonomously in a high-velocity environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines, while maintaining alignment with global legal standards and ElevenLabs’ AI-first culture.
• Engage with global legal colleagues to ensure consistency in contract language and risk management approaches across regions, despite jurisdictional differences.
• Apply legal expertise to cutting-edge AI products and platforms including ElevenAgents, ElevenCreative, and ElevenAPI, ensuring compliance with emerging regulatory expectations.
• Operate with a strong sense of ownership, proactively identifying legal risks and proposing practical solutions that support both commercial success and regulatory adherence.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality aligned with ElevenLabs’ commitment to excellence, mirroring the precision and innovation of its AI models.
• Participate in annual company offsites and utilize the provided co-working stipend to support effective remote collaboration across the APAC region.
• Leverage the annual discretionary stipend for professional development to deepen expertise in AI law, technology regulation, or commercial contracting.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in a relevant APAC jurisdiction
• 7+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience, with in-house experience in technology or SaaS strongly preferred
• Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
• Strong knowledge of enterprise software licensing, SaaS, data protection, and intellectual property
• Experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
