📋 Description

• As a Commercial Counsel at Harvey AI Inc., you will play a pivotal role in enabling the company’s rapid growth across EMEA by ensuring the swift, compliant, and strategic execution of commercial agreements that power its generative AI platform for legal and professional services. This is not a routine legal role — you will be at the forefront of shaping how cutting-edge AI technology is contracted, deployed, and scaled in one of the most innovative and high-stakes sectors of the global economy.
• Day to day, you will: draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial AI SaaS contracts with enterprise customers including top-tier law firms and professional services organizations; collaborate closely with Go-To-Market, sales, and product teams to accelerate deal cycles while mitigating legal risk; support the Head of EMEA Legal in building and scaling the legal function in the region by establishing standardized processes, playbooks, and relationship frameworks; advise on emerging legal and regulatory issues related to AI, data privacy, IP licensing, and technology transactions as they arise in a fast-moving startup environment; contribute to the development of Harvey’s legal infrastructure by helping to shape contract templates, negotiation strategies, and compliance protocols; and participate in cross-functional initiatives that extend beyond core contracting, such as product launches, partnership discussions, and internal policy development, leveraging the startup culture to broaden your expertise.
• You will join a lean, high-impact legal team within Harvey’s EMEA operation, reporting directly to the Head of EMEA Legal in London. The team operates with intense ownership, close collaboration with engineering and go-to-market functions, and a deep commitment to solving real customer problems with urgency and precision. 🎯 Requirements

• English qualified lawyer with 4+ years post-qualification experience in commercial or technology law, either at a leading private practice firm or in-house at a technology company supporting SaaS or Go-To-Market teams
• Proven transactional background in technology and/or IP licensing commercial agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex SaaS contracts
• Ability to think creatively, work independently, and act proactively in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment with a service-oriented, collaborative mindset
