📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with a primary focus on go-to-market and sales transactions across LATAM, including enterprise customer contracts for SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships.
• Partner with sales, business development, and operations teams to design and implement go-to-market strategies that enable high-growth initiatives while managing legal and regulatory risk.
• Monitor, interpret, and apply evolving region-specific legal and regulatory developments in LATAM, particularly in data protection, technology, and artificial intelligence frameworks, to inform contract drafting and risk assessment.
• Develop, maintain, and localize contract templates, legal playbooks, and internal policies to align with regional legal requirements and industry best practices across LATAM jurisdictions.
• Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially oriented legal advice to cross-functional teams, balancing compliance with business objectives to support innovation and responsible growth.
• Contribute to scaling the Legal Team’s commercial function by fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture and improving processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Advise on enterprise software licensing models, intellectual property rights, data privacy obligations, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms under LATAM regulations.
• Work closely with global legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment on contractual standards and risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Operate autonomously in a high-velocity environment with shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and ambiguous legal landscapes inherent to emerging AI technologies.
• Maintain a deep understanding of ElevenLabs’ product platforms — ElevenAgents, ElevenCreative, and ElevenAPI — to provide legally sound guidance tailored to each product’s commercial use cases.
• Leverage AI tools and internal systems to enhance legal workflow efficiency, contract analysis, and document automation in alignment with the company’s AI-first culture.
• Support the company’s global expansion by ensuring commercial contracts comply with local laws in LATAM while maintaining consistency with corporate legal standards.
• Engage proactively with stakeholders across departments to anticipate legal needs, identify potential risks early, and deliver timely solutions that enable business momentum.
• Represent the Legal Team in internal discussions and external negotiations with enterprise clients, partners, and vendors across LATAM.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional regulatory trends, including Brazil’s LGPD, Mexico’s AEPD guidelines, and other relevant data privacy and AI governance frameworks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal operations by identifying inefficiencies and proposing scalable solutions for contract lifecycle management in a fast-growing AI company.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in a relevant LATAM jurisdiction (preference for Brazil or Mexico)
• 7+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience (in-house experience in technology or SaaS strongly preferred)
• Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
• Strong knowledge of enterprise software licensing, SaaS, data protection, and intellectual property
• Experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
