We are a company that has surpassed $300M ARR and is recognized as one of the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America for the sixth consecutive year. Our award-winning technology is trusted by over 50% of the Fortune 500, demonstrating our commitment to providing clarity and agility to businesses worldwide. Our customers consistently rate us highly on platforms like G2.com and Gartner Peer Insights, reflecting our dedication to their success.
- • In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Head of Legal and become an integral part of our growing legal team. You will be empowered to independently lead legal negotiations with customers, providing expert guidance on a wide range of transactions. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex SaaS subscription agreements, vendor agreements, and partner agreements, ensuring favorable terms for AuditBoard while mitigating risk.
- • You will serve as the primary regional legal support for the UK & Ireland and broader international markets, navigating diverse legal landscapes and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This is a unique opportunity to not only manage day-to-day legal operations but also to actively shape key initiatives aimed at streamlining and optimizing AuditBoard’s contracting processes as the company continues its impressive scaling trajectory.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire contract lifecycle, from initial Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) through internal approvals, negotiation, and the finalization of the signature process. You will collaborate closely with various internal departments, including Sales, Finance, Security, and Product teams, to ensure that all contractual terms align with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves providing general legal guidance on a variety of commercial matters. This includes advising on intellectual property issues, data privacy compliance, and other legal risks associated with our business operations. You will be instrumental in developing and refining standard contract templates, playbooks, and legal processes to enhance efficiency and consistency across the organization.
- • You will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating legal risks associated with our global operations. This includes staying abreast of evolving legal and regulatory requirements in the UK, EU, and other relevant jurisdictions, particularly concerning data protection and cybersecurity.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SaaS business models and the associated legal considerations. You will be adept at identifying potential legal pitfalls and proactively proposing solutions that enable business growth while safeguarding the company’s interests.
- • This position offers a dynamic and challenging environment where you will have the autonomy to make significant contributions. You will be expected to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Your ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and communicate clearly with both legal and non-legal stakeholders will be essential for success.
- • We are looking for a proactive individual who embraces a growth mindset, is eager to learn, and contributes positively to our team culture. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values mutual support, innovation, and a relentless focus on customer success. Your contributions will directly impact AuditBoard's ability to expand its global reach and maintain its position as a market leader.
- • This role requires a strong understanding of commercial contract law, particularly as it applies to software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements. You will be responsible for ensuring that our contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and reflect the value proposition of AuditBoard’s platform.
- • You will also be involved in advising on compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, and potentially CCPA, ensuring that AuditBoard's practices align with global data protection standards. This includes working with the security team to review and approve vendor security questionnaires and data processing agreements.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies and procedures, ensuring that the company operates ethically and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping the legal framework that supports AuditBoard's continued growth and success.
- • This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact within a thriving technology company, working alongside a dedicated and innovative team. You will have the chance to grow your expertise in commercial law within the SaaS industry and contribute to the strategic direction of the legal function.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of in-house transactional legal experience, with a strong focus on negotiating SaaS agreements, amendments, and order forms with enterprise customers.
- • Proven experience managing the full contract lifecycle, from NDAs to final signature, including internal approvals and stakeholder management.
- • Solid understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, particularly GDPR, with knowledge of CCPA being a significant advantage.
- • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in England.

- • Launch a career at one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in North America.
- • Live Your Best Life (LYBL) stipend: $200/month for personal enrichment.
- • Comprehensive employee health coverage.
