- • The Commercial Markets Product Developer leads small- to medium-scale enterprise-wide Commercial Market development initiatives, acting as a thought leader in generating and refining strategy and innovation ideas from ideation through product design, requirements definition, execution, and market launch.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing ideas through staged gates of product development, collaborating with Strategic Advisors to evaluate market opportunities, conducting complex financial and qualitative analysis, facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders, managing cross-functional teams, and supporting vendor evaluation and contract negotiations.
- • The role supports the Commercial Market portfolio by defining proof of concepts, business cases, designs, and requirements, while identifying leadership buy-in for pricing strategy and contributing to marketing and launch strategies.
- • The position is based at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, a mission-driven organization focused on improving healthcare delivery, offering remote flexibility within North Carolina and emphasizing innovation, community impact, and employee growth.
- • The individual will gain experience in end-to-end product development within the healthcare industry, build strategic influence across enterprise teams, and develop expertise in market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and product lifecycle management.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- • 3 years of experience in marketing or product development
- • Previous experience in health insurance or healthcare industry with multi-faceted knowledge of delivery systems (strongly preferred)
