  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing commercial clients using commercial card or merchant services, ensuring ongoing relationship management and high client satisfaction.
  • • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of commercial clients with a strong focus on retention, spend growth, and cross-selling additional bank services.
  • • Identify and target clients with incremental spend opportunities by analyzing transaction data and client behavior patterns.
  • • Monitor and track spending trends across managed client portfolios to uncover growth opportunities and potential risk areas.
  • • Utilize industry benchmarking tools from VISA and internal data analytics to advise clients on strategies for optimizing payment processes and increasing efficiency.
  • • Guide clients through transitions to self-sufficiency in Supplier Enablement, standardized payment terms, and epayables boarding processes.
  • • Collaborate closely with Treasury Management Consultants and Commercial Card Consultants to share sales activities, refer qualified opportunities, and align on client strategies.
  • • Participate in pricing decisions for products and services based on industry knowledge, client experience, and competitive positioning.
  • • Drive revenue expansion from existing customer relationships by executing targeted sales initiatives and supporting Commercial Card Consultants in achieving individual sales goals.
  • • Assist Regional Sales Managers in implementing department-wide sales strategies to meet overall business objectives.
  • • Promote adoption of technology enhancements and latest platform functionalities to ensure clients benefit from current digital payment solutions.
  • • Proactively promote cross-selling of complementary bank services to increase client stickiness and deepen relationships.
  • • Establish and maintain a consistent, routine communication cadence with assigned clients to foster trust, identify needs, and sustain growth.
  • • Adhere strictly to all applicable compliance, operational risk controls, and regulatory standards as defined by M&T Bank and external authorities.
  • • Uphold M&T Bank’s internal control standards by promptly addressing audit findings and regulatory issues.
  • • Contribute to an inclusive workplace culture that reflects the M&T Bank brand and supports belonging across all teams.
  • • Complete additional duties as assigned to support the commercial payments sales function and organizational priorities.
