  • • Are you a seasoned financial professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for managing and growing commercial loan portfolios? The Symicor Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Portfolio Manager to join a dynamic team in Waukesha, WI. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and client relationship management within a supportive and growth-oriented environment. As a Commercial Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's assets while fostering strong, long-term relationships with our commercial clients.
  • • In this critical role, you will be responsible for the ongoing management and monitoring of a diverse portfolio of commercial loans. This includes conducting thorough financial analysis of existing borrowers, assessing creditworthiness, and identifying potential risks and opportunities. You will proactively manage loan covenants, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for loan modifications or renewals.
  • • Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with loan officers, underwriters, and other internal departments to ensure the smooth operation of the loan portfolio. You will be the primary point of contact for many of our commercial clients, providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries, and working collaboratively to find solutions that meet their evolving business needs. This client-facing aspect of the role is crucial for building trust and maintaining strong partnerships.
  • • A significant part of your responsibility will be to identify and mitigate credit risks within the portfolio. This involves staying abreast of industry trends, economic conditions, and borrower-specific performance. You will conduct regular site visits and client meetings to gain a deeper understanding of their operations and financial health. Your proactive approach to risk management will be instrumental in preventing potential losses and ensuring the overall stability of the loan book.
  • • You will also be involved in the structuring and negotiation of loan terms for renewals and modifications. This requires a deep understanding of financial markets, lending policies, and risk-reward trade-offs. Your ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, will be essential when presenting your findings and recommendations to senior management and loan committees.
  • • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and refinement of credit policies and procedures. By sharing your insights and experiences, you will help shape the future direction of our commercial lending practices, ensuring they remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. This includes participating in internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to established guidelines.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player. You should be adept at managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all your work. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is also highly valued, as the financial landscape is constantly evolving.
  • • This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the company's success by effectively managing risk, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the profitable growth of the commercial loan portfolio. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to excellence in commercial banking and client service.
  • • Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • • Proactively monitoring and managing a commercial loan portfolio to ensure asset quality and compliance.
  • • Conducting in-depth financial analysis of existing borrowers, including cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, and industry risk assessment.
  • • Monitoring loan covenants, identifying potential covenant breaches, and developing appropriate action plans.
  • • Preparing comprehensive credit reviews, annual reviews, and loan modification/renewal recommendations.
  • • Maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients, serving as a primary point of contact for portfolio-related inquiries and needs.
  • • Identifying and assessing credit risks, developing strategies for mitigation, and reporting on portfolio risk exposure.
  • • Ensuring compliance with all internal lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • • Collaborating with loan officers, underwriters, and other departments to facilitate loan servicing and problem resolution.
  • • Performing site visits and client meetings to gather information and assess borrower performance.
  • • Staying informed about market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments that may impact the portfolio.
  • • Assisting in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
  • • Contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the commercial loan portfolio through effective risk management and client retention.
