  • • The Commercial Services Specialist I at Cox Automotive plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of vehicle title processing and DealShield claim resolution, directly supporting the integrity of Manheim’s auction operations and customer trust in vehicle transactions.
  • • This role is essential to maintaining smooth title workflows and risk mitigation processes, enabling dealers and sellers to confidently buy and sell vehicles through Manheim’s platform with reduced fraud and administrative delays.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include efficiently managing the acquisition of vehicle titles and resolving DealShield claims by utilizing internal tools and platforms to cross-reference, research, and report on title information with precision and speed.
  • • The specialist fosters consistent and professional communication with internal teams such as DealShield and Arbitration, as well as external stakeholders including Manheim site employees, floorplan company representatives, and clients to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • • Collaboration with DealShield and Arbitration teams is required to assess and respond to risk cases, providing factual support and documentation to inform decision-making and prevent financial exposure.
  • • Responding promptly and accurately to client inquiries related to title transactions and DealShield processes is a core function, requiring adherence to company policies while delivering high-quality service and effective problem resolution.
  • • Maintaining strong internal and external account relationships is key; the role involves proactively identifying concerns and escalating them to management for review to prevent operational disruptions.
  • • Creating and maintaining basic Excel spreadsheets to track title status, vehicle notes, and case progress ensures transparency and supports reporting needs across teams.
  • • Managing vehicle notes in the system—reviewing, entering, and updating them—while monitoring shared email boxes and Microsoft Teams channels enables timely responses to requests and supports the creation of pre-receipt records in the vault via ticket submission.
  • • The role includes performing other duties as assigned by supervisors, contributing to team flexibility and operational resilience in a dynamic vehicle auction environment.
  • • Working within Cox Automotive’s Vehicle Operations division, the specialist supports a mission-driven organization that leverages technology to transform how vehicles are bought, sold, and owned, backed by iconic brands like Manheim, Autotrader, and Kelley Blue Book.
  • • The team operates with a people-centered culture, emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting that balances remote flexibility with required on-site presence near a Manheim location.

🎯 Requirements

  • • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • • Less than 2 years of experience in a related field such as administrative support, customer service, title processing, or automotive operations
  • • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for creating and maintaining basic spreadsheets to track data and status updates
