Your primary mission will be to ensure that our suppliers consistently meet and exceed stringent quality requirements, delivering products and services that uphold our reputation for excellence and reliability.
- • You will be instrumental in driving the resolution of complex quality issues, providing constructive and actionable performance feedback to suppliers, and actively championing continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain. This role demands exceptional communication, adept meeting facilitation, and robust relationship-building skills, as you will be the face of Raytheon in fostering and maintaining effective, collaborative partnerships with our suppliers.
- • This position involves close collaboration with various internal teams, including sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and program management. You will contribute significantly to supplier source selection processes, the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, strategic supply chain planning, and targeted supplier development programs.
- • You will embody and promote Raytheon's core values, Vision, Strategy, and Goals within the supplier community, acting as a professional ambassador for the company and making a tangible impact on the success of key supplier relationships and, by extension, our mission objectives.
- • This is a remote role, requiring you to maintain a dedicated home office. However, you will be expected to conduct regular site visits to assigned supplier facilities, necessitating a willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time, including driving and air travel as required.
- • Key responsibilities include implementing robust process improvements and proactive risk mitigation strategies across the entire supply base, ensuring operational resilience and product integrity.
- • You will be responsible for building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with both internal and external customers, key partners, and critical stakeholders, fostering an environment of open communication and mutual understanding.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be to influence decision-making processes through rigorous quality assurance practices, ensuring all efforts are strategically aligned with customer priorities and ultimately contribute to mission success.
- • You will meticulously interpret and communicate complex purchase order technical and quality requirements, ensuring absolute supplier and subcontractor compliance with all contractual obligations.
- • You will ensure that product requirements are accurately and effectively flowed down to internal teams and sub-tier suppliers, maintaining a clear chain of accountability and adherence.
- • A core function involves conducting thorough assessments of suppliers throughout their engagement lifecycle, evaluating their quality systems, technical capabilities, production capacity, potential opportunities, and inherent risks.
- • You will perform detailed technical evaluations to support cost and price analysis, contributing to the financial health and strategic sourcing of the company.
- • You will manage and process supplier requests for product and process changes, ensuring these changes are properly vetted, documented, and implemented without compromising quality or schedule.
- • You will be responsible for communicating the technical health and performance of our suppliers to internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and data-driven insights.
- • You will proactively identify and resolve supplier risks and systemic issues by employing rigorous root-cause analysis methodologies and implementing effective corrective actions.
- • You will drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and other advanced analytical tools, fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement.
- • You will collaborate effectively across multiple internal functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs) to ensure the rapid and efficient resolution of any emerging issues.
- • You will oversee critical quality processes including First Article Verification (FAV), Source Inspection, and comprehensive supplier assessments, audits, and reviews, ensuring adherence to standards.
- • You will actively resolve supplier-related risks and ensure strict compliance with all program objectives and requirements.
- • Travel is an integral part of this role, estimated at 25% of your time, to support supplier engagements and oversight.
