- • Define and execute the overall community strategy for Media Molecule in alignment with studio goals, creative vision, and business objectives for new and existing projects.
- • Lead and manage the Community team, providing line management, professional development, and mentoring to foster growth and high performance.
- • Build and sustain long-term player engagement strategies tied to game lifecycle events, content updates, studio milestones, and product releases.
- • Oversee and expand Media Molecule’s presence across key social platforms including X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, and Twitch, including organizing official channels and hosting live streams.
- • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with fans, influencers, media partners, and community advocates to amplify studio visibility and brand loyalty.
- • Represent Media Molecule at industry events such as PAX, Develop, press events, and online livestreams to strengthen community connection and brand presence.
- • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Production, Analytics, QA, Brand, and Marketing to ensure cross-disciplinary alignment, knowledge sharing, and accurate communication of project health and player feedback.
- • Establish, enforce, and evolve community guidelines to ensure safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for all players globally.
- • Craft and deliver player-facing communications including FAQ documents, patch notes, crisis response messaging, and official announcements with consistent brand tone and voice.
- • Identify emerging community trends, new engagement opportunities, and innovative platforms to evolve Media Molecule’s community approach.
- • Monitor and analyze key KPIs related to social media performance, player sentiment, and engagement metrics to inform strategy and measure success.
- • Manage and de-escalate high-pressure online situations with empathy, professionalism, and strategic calm to protect studio reputation and community health.
- • Lead localized community efforts across multiple regions and cultures, ensuring culturally appropriate and effective engagement strategies.
- • Partner with Central Marketing and Community teams across Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation Studios to align messaging and maximize impact.
- • Travel domestically and internationally as required to attend events, meetings, and community engagements.
