  • • Lead Jerry’s organic community growth across Reddit, Quora, YouTube, and TikTok — platforms where customers actively discuss car insurance, repairs, and ownership — rather than relying solely on in-app interactions
  • • Develop and execute a nuanced playbook for community participation: determining optimal timing for posting, responding, or remaining silent to align with each platform’s culture and norms
  • • Transform Jerry’s existing subreddits into trusted, self-sustaining communities by fostering authentic dialogue, encouraging user-generated content, and moderating discussions with transparency and consistency
  • • Design a scalable content and engagement strategy that maintains human authenticity while leveraging AI tools to augment efficiency without compromising tone or trust
  • • Collaborate closely with Growth and Content teams to ensure brand voice, messaging, and strategic priorities are aligned across all community channels
  • • Track and report on community health metrics including sentiment shifts, share of voice in relevant conversations, referral traffic driven from community platforms, and citations by large language models (LLMs)
  • • Act as the authentic voice of Jerry in high-stakes, high-traffic environments such as r/personalfinance threads and TikTok comment sections, avoiding corporate jargon and adopting conversational, relatable language that resonates with users
  • • Identify emerging topics, pain points, and misinformation within community spaces and proactively create content or responses that address user concerns with empathy and accuracy
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory landscape of insurtech and consumer automotive services to ensure compliance and credibility in all community interactions
  • • Build long-term trust by prioritizing organic growth and sustained relationships over short-term PR wins or viral trends
  • • Monitor competitor community strategies and industry trends to inform Jerry’s approach and maintain differentiation in a crowded digital space
  • • Serve as the bridge between user feedback gathered in communities and product development teams, translating real-world concerns into actionable insights
  • • Uphold Jerry’s mission to simplify car ownership by making complex, stressful topics like insurance claims and repair costs feel approachable, transparent, and human
  • • Represent Jerry with integrity, ensuring all community interactions reflect the company’s values of accessibility, innovation, and user-centricity

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of experience in community management or organic social growth, preferably within fintech, insurtech, or another consumer-facing, regulated industry
  • • Proven ability to write in a natural, non-corporate tone that earns engagement and upvotes on Reddit, Quora, and TikTok
  • • Deep understanding of SEO principles and how large language models (LLMs) source and cite information from online communities
  • • Demonstrated success in transforming passive or low-engagement forums into active, trusted user communities
  • • Experience managing community presence in highly sensitive or stressful consumer categories (e.g., finance, healthcare, insurance)
  • • Strategic mindset focused on building systems and processes, not just reactive engagement
