- • As a Community Support Specialist at Reddit, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and vibrancy of Reddit’s global communities by serving as the first point of contact for users and moderators seeking assistance. Your work directly contributes to preserving the platform’s culture of open, authentic conversation by ensuring timely, empathetic, and effective resolution of support issues.
- • Day to day, you will manage ticketed support requests from Reddit users and moderators, provide first-line support for non-technical issues, escalate complex problems to appropriate teams, maintain detailed documentation of interactions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve support processes and advocate for community-driven improvements.
- • You will join Reddit’s Community Support Team, a dedicated group focused on enhancing user and moderator experiences across the platform. The team operates with a remote-first mindset, supporting Reddit’s mission to foster community and belonging in a flexible, inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives and lived experience.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in community dynamics, support operations, and platform functionality. You will gain experience in cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and customer advocacy—skills that are transferable to careers in community management, user experience, product support, and trust and safety operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Previous experience as a moderator on Reddit
- • Knowledge of Reddit’s platform and community dynamics
- • Experience working with customer support platforms such as Zendesk or Salesforce
- • Proven experience providing first-line support in a customer service environment
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- • Experience working in a team-oriented environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- • Nice to have: Fluency in English and at least one additional European language (German, Spanish, French, Italian)
