- • Own end-to-end compensation for Vanta’s EPD and G&A populations, serving as the primary point of contact for benchmarking, band design, and compensation decisions
- • Lead full merit and equity compensation cycles end-to-end, including timeline development, manager enablement, and close-out reporting for year-end and mid-year cycles
- • Build and maintain analytical models for compensation scenario planning, band analysis, equity burn projections, and internal equity reporting, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders
- • Manage and optimize compensation and equity systems including Pave and Carta, ensuring data integrity and consistency as the company scales
- • Partner proactively with People Business Partners (PBPs), Finance, and EPD leadership to align compensation strategy with workforce goals, surfacing risks and insights before being asked
- • Identify and close operational gaps in compensation infrastructure by improving workflows, documentation, and tooling with a focus on automation and standardization for future global scalability
- • Support compliance initiatives to ensure compensation practices remain competitive, consistent, and legally sound as Vanta expands
- • Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and impact in compensation analysis, cycle execution, and system optimization, demonstrating curiosity and responsible application of technology
- • Serve as a trusted thought partner on compensation strategy, influencing decisions through data-driven insights and proactive engagement with cross-functional stakeholders
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation documentation and processes to support audit readiness and organizational transparency
- • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment between compensation philosophy, budget constraints, and business objectives
- • Contribute to the strategic rebuilding of Vanta’s compensation function, transitioning from reactive operations to a proactive, scalable, and strategic partnership model
- • Ensure all compensation practices reflect Vanta’s commitment to fairness, equity, and transparency across a growing, distributed workforce
- • Participate in company-wide events, including virtual team building and learning sessions, to foster connection and cultural alignment
- • Support the Senior Manager of Compensation in scaling compensation infrastructure to meet the needs of a 1,000+ employee organization
- • Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive benchmarks to inform compensation strategy and ensure Vanta remains an employer of choice in the technology sector
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of in-house compensation experience at a technology company, with demonstrated program ownership at the senior individual contributor level
- • Hands-on experience leveraging Radford for job matching, data pulls, and benchmarking methodology (required)
- • Track record of owning full compensation cycles end-to-end (merit, equity, promotions) independently in-house, not in a support or coordination capacity
- • Strong analytical modeling skills combined with the ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations for business leaders and non-technical stakeholders
- • Demonstrated ability to build trust with PBPs, Finance, and managers as a proactive thought partner who surfaces issues before being asked
- • Experience at organizations of 1,000+ employees; pre-IPO or public company exposure preferred
- • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
- • Open to using AI to amplify skills and strengthen work, demonstrating curiosity, willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly
