- • As a Software Engineer, Agents at Harvey AI Inc., you will build the systems that make AI agents indispensable to legal professionals, helping transform how legal and professional services operate through frontier agentic AI and enterprise-grade platforms.
- • You will partner with customers and product managers to understand legal workflows, design practical evaluations for agent performance, and ship agents that automate high-impact tasks such as M&A diligence, contract playbook execution, litigation support, and PowerPoint generation.
- • You will optimize agent performance through prompt engineering, model selection, tool design, context window management, and eval harness development, while working with model infrastructure teams to implement low-latency execution strategies including caching, parallel tool calls, and subagent patterns.
- • You will improve observability and instrumentation to profile agent behavior, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization decisions, staying current on advancements in agentic systems to continuously enhance product capabilities.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proficiency in Python and experience working with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
- • 2-5 years (post-BS/MS) of software engineering experience.
- • Experience with shipping user-facing products, either on the backend or full-stack.
- • Passion for building effective domain-specific agents and an iterative mindset focused on rapid prototyping and shipping v0s.
- • Comfortable using evaluations to drive quality and humility to adapt code and frameworks as new best practices emerge.
