- • Design and build a modern, cloud-native healthcare platform from scratch using Elixir and Phoenix as the core technology stack, with no legacy systems to constrain innovation.
- • Develop a fine-grained, patient-centric access control system for clinical data that enforces strict privacy rules while enabling population-level health insights for public health initiatives.
- • Architect and deploy infrastructure capable of 24/7 uptime in mission-critical environments such as Emergency Departments, ICUs, and Operating Rooms, with support for rolling deployments, real-time data sync, and automatic failover.
- • Build a next-generation integration engine to connect and synchronize real-time data from medical hardware including ventilators, bedside monitors, imaging devices, and lab equipment.
- • Redesign outdated hospital workflows by transforming click-heavy, fragmented processes into intuitive, fast, and seamless experiences for nurses, doctors, and administrators.
- • Lead the technical direction of product initiatives with strong product sense, owning end-to-end delivery of complex software systems from concept to production.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical needs into scalable, robust software solutions that clinicians love and trust.
- • Apply first-principles thinking to solve novel engineering challenges in healthcare with no prior precedent, leveraging strong fundamentals in software architecture and systems design.
- • Write clean, robust, and maintainable code in Elixir, Erlang, Python, JavaScript, and other technologies as needed, with a commitment to high-quality engineering practices.
- • Contribute to open-source projects and actively explore, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities and performance.
- • Communicate complex technical trade-offs, architectural decisions, and best practices clearly to engineers, product teams, and clinical stakeholders.
- • Operate in a hybrid work environment with an expectation of being onsite three days per week to foster collaboration, innovation, and team cohesion.
- • Drive a culture of intellectual curiosity, continuous learning, and high performance within a fast-moving, mission-driven engineering team.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Proficiency in object-oriented and functional programming, with experience using Elixir, Phoenix, Erlang, Python, or JavaScript
- • Experience building 0-1 systems with strong product sense and ownership of end-to-end product delivery
- • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling complex, novel engineering challenges
- • Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions and collaborate across engineering and clinical teams
- • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, real-time data systems, and high-availability infrastructure
