- • This role is critical to supporting our extraordinary global scaling, which involves growing from 400 to over 900 employees by the end of 2026. We operate in over 46 countries with a diverse, distributed workforce encompassing researchers, engineers, go-to-market teams, operators, creatives, and frontier AI specialists. Compensation and total rewards are fundamental pillars in our strategy to attract and retain the world's top talent. - • The core mission of this position is to own and strategically evolve our global compensation and total rewards framework. This involves designing and implementing systems that are not only competitive within cutting-edge AI markets but also internally consistent, globally scalable, and engineered for long-term sustainability. You will be the singular point of accountability for our compensation architecture, collaborating closely with Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and efficacy.
- • Key responsibilities include owning and refining ElevenLabs’ global compensation philosophy, ensuring that pay, equity, and incentives effectively drive attraction, retention, and performance. This requires a delicate balance between market competitiveness, internal equity, and financial prudence, serving as a trusted advisor on complex compensation decisions.
- • You will be instrumental in designing job architecture and leveling systems that introduce necessary rigor without impeding our high-velocity operations. The goal is to evolve our structure to match our scale – mature enough to support 46+ countries and a diverse array of roles, yet agile and free from over-engineering or bureaucracy. This includes driving clarity and consistency in job architecture, leveling frameworks, and compensation bands worldwide.
- • A significant focus will be placed on equity and long-term incentives, aligning with ElevenLabs’ core belief that employees should be genuine owners of the company, invested in our long-term vision. This involves owning our equity philosophy, structure, and grant strategy, and partnering with Finance and Legal on design, refresh cycles, and promotion grants.
- • Furthermore, you will oversee compensation cycles and governance, assisting with annual compensation reviews end-to-end, designing clear off-cycle governance, and building scalable calibration rigor and tooling. The role will explore AI-enabled workflows to enhance speed and consistency and will serve as the final escalation point for leveling and pay consistency decisions.
- • The scope also extends to owning the global benefits strategy for our distributed workforce, balancing standardization with regional relevance. Ensuring benefits are competitive in frontier talent markets while remaining operationally scalable is paramount.
