📋 Description

• As a Compliance Manager for Institutional & Markets at Kraken, you will own the compliance programme for regulated activities under Jersey financial services law and oversee tokenised asset issuance, playing a critical role in ensuring regulatory adherence as the company expands its institutional footprint.
• You will develop and deploy AML and compliance policies, manage client onboarding and transaction monitoring, advise on product design for tokenised securities and real-world assets, and monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions with the JFSC as the primary supervisor.
• You will join a globally distributed, mission-driven team at Kraken, a leader in crypto innovation, working closely with legal, product, and operations teams to support institutional business and ensure compliance is embedded in product lifecycle from structuring to secondary trading.
• This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in emerging financial regulation at the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain, shape compliance frameworks for novel digital assets, and contribute to the safe and compliant growth of crypto markets.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid working knowledge of Jersey financial services law: the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, the Control of Borrowing (Jersey) Order, and the JFSC’s regulatory framework for investment business and virtual asset service providers.
• Experience running or contributing to a compliance programme in a regulated financial services business, ideally with institutional or wholesale markets exposure.
• Strong written communication: committee papers, regulatory correspondence, and policy documentation to a high standard.
• Ability to work with genuine ambiguity — products in this space are often ahead of the regulatory framework, and you'll need to make sound judgements without a ready-made playbook.
