- • The Compliance Program Manager - Enterprise Risk role is critical to upholding Bon Secours Mercy Health’s mission by ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and ethical standards across the organization, directly supporting patient safety, legal compliance, and organizational integrity.
- • This position plays a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks within assigned functional areas, helping prevent violations, fines, and reputational damage while fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with compliance team members and key stakeholders to implement program elements, conducting risk assessments through staff interviews and data analytics, and investigating potential compliance incidents to ensure timely corrective actions.
- • The role involves serving as a subject matter expert by researching regulatory changes, providing guidance on policy application, and developing educational content to enhance staff understanding of compliance standards and consequences of non-compliance.
- • The Compliance Program Manager utilizes data analytics, statistical modeling, and internal/external databases to detect trends, monitor compliance metrics, and support proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- • They assist in developing annual compliance workplans, corrective action plans (CAPs), and oversight tools, while tracking CAP implementation and effectiveness to ensure remediation is sustained.
- • Regular audits and monitoring activities are performed within assigned functional areas, with recommendations for improvement and follow-up on corrective actions through full implementation cycles.
- • The position supports periodic reviews and revisions of compliance policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure they remain current with evolving federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
- • The Compliance Program Manager prepares and delivers multi-faceted communications—oral, written, and electronic—to facilitate training, decision-making, and proactive responses to emerging compliance challenges across departments.
- • They collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to track corrective actions, validate remediation effectiveness, and promote continuous improvement in compliance practices.
- • The role requires operating independently with initiative, demonstrating leadership in project management, and modeling ethical integrity to promote a system-wide culture of compliance and accountability.
- • Working within the SS Enterprise Risk - Corp Responsibility department, the individual contributes to a centralized compliance function that aligns risk management with organizational strategy and mission-driven goals.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- • Three to five years of in-depth experience in healthcare operations or compliance-related activities.
- • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) is preferred.
- • Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements including HIPAA, CMS, OIG, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and DPA.
- • Proficiency in data analytics techniques, statistical analysis, and modeling to detect and trend compliance issues using internal and third-party tools.
- • Demonstrated ability to manage investigations, conduct interviews, document findings, and ensure appropriate corrective actions.
- • Skilled in drafting, refining, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
- • Experienced in designing, coordinating, and delivering compliance education and training initiatives.
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Copilot tools, with ability to navigate EMR systems for documentation review.
- • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence leadership and build trust across diverse audiences.
- • Capable of operating independently, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality, and adapting to shifting regulatory demands.
