Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Compliance Strategy Manager at Wayflyer Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s approach to regulatory risk and governance, ensuring that compliance functions as a strategic enabler of sustainable growth rather than a barrier. You will be instrumental in building scalable systems that support Wayflyer’s rapid expansion across global markets while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory adherence and operational integrity.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning the development and annual refresh of the company-wide Risk Register, identifying emerging risks and control gaps as the business evolves; acting as a key contributor to high-stakes regulatory projects such as licensing applications, collaborating closely with legal counsel and program managers to ensure operational compliance meets the highest standards; designing and implementing a scalable policy and procedure management framework, owning the end-to-end process of drafting, approving, and rolling out internal controls across teams; identifying friction points in current compliance workflows and partnering with Product and Engineering teams to implement AI-driven automation solutions that reduce manual effort and free up capacity for higher-value work; and serving as a senior advisory point of contact for the Dublin team, providing pragmatic guidance on balancing compliance requirements with aggressive business growth objectives.
- • Wayflyer is a fast-growing fintech scale-up that has deployed over $5 billion in financing to thousands of SMBs since 2020, backed by Tier 1 institutions like J.P. Morgan and trusted by high-growth brands such as True Classic, Little Words Project, and Kekoa Foods. The company operates with a bold, ambitious culture rooted in integrity, creativity, and operational excellence, where cross-functional collaboration and a growth mindset are not just encouraged—they are expected. You’ll join a global team spanning Dublin, London, Sydney, Charlotte, and remote hubs across Europe and the US, all united by the mission to empower great businesses to reach their full potential.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in scaling compliance functions within high-velocity fintech environments, gain hands-on experience integrating AI and automation into regulatory workflows, and strengthen your ability to translate complex regulations into actionable business processes. You’ll have the opportunity to influence company-wide governance frameworks, build credibility as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, and position yourself at the forefront of innovation in compliance strategy—turning regulatory challenges into competitive advantages.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in a senior compliance or regulatory role, preferably within fintech, financial services, or a similarly regulated, fast-paced industry
- • Proven ability to develop and maintain enterprise-wide risk registers and regulatory mapping initiatives
- • Strong understanding of financial crime prevention, AML/KYC frameworks, and licensing requirements in multiple jurisdictions
- • Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing scalable policy, procedure, and internal control frameworks
- • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to implement technology-driven compliance solutions, including familiarity with AI/LLM applications in monitoring and automation
- • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders
- • Growth-oriented mindset: views compliance as a business enabler and thrives in ambiguous, high-impact environments
🏖️ Benefits
- • 25 days of paid annual leave plus public holidays, supporting meaningful time off to recharge
- • Comprehensive health and protection package including private healthcare, life insurance, and critical illness cover
- • Generous parental and adoptive leave policies for both primary and secondary caregivers
- • Equity participation through Wayflyer’s employee share scheme, allowing you to share in the company’s success
- • Pension plan contributions to help build long-term financial security
- • Wellbeing @ Wayflyer ERG and resources to support mental, physical, and emotional health
- • Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to 60 calendar days per year
- • Access to global offices in Dublin, London, Sydney, and Charlotte with hybrid working models
- • Opportunity to work alongside senior leadership, including regular exposure to the CEO and SLT in key hubs
