- • Join a leading aerospace and defense company, Raytheon, as a Component Analyst within their Engineering Services team, contributing to critical national defense missions. This remote role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, ensuring the integrity and functionality of electronic and mechanical components used in complex assemblies.
- • As a Component Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the evaluation and disposition of a wide array of components, including those for electronics assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, and electronics rack-mount systems/chassis. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and reliability of the products that protect our nation and allies.
- • A core responsibility involves supporting the material handling processes for incoming materials destined for warehousing and production. You will provide essential technical dispositioning for suspended (discrepant) materials, ensuring that programs and production lines can proceed without unnecessary delays.
- • You will also be instrumental in defining and managing package and handling processes. This includes understanding and codifying requirements for handling Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Moisture Sensitive Level (MSL) electronic components, as well as mechanical components with shelf-life requirements.
- • Your work will involve researching and interpreting technical documentation such as engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturer datasheets to accurately determine proper packaging and handling characteristics. This information will be codified to guide downstream processes.
- • You will be responsible for capturing, documenting, and segregating any discrepant material encountered, ensuring clear traceability and proper management.
- • A key aspect of the role is coordinating with program personnel to facilitate the disposition of discrepant material, which may include Return to Manufacturer Authorization (RMA), Unacceptable for Inspection (UAI), or submission for further testing.
- • Effective collaboration with warehouse and production teams is crucial to ensure smooth material flow and to address any component-related issues that arise on the production floor.
- • You will conduct thorough research and collaborate closely with Component Engineers to resolve technical challenges associated with both electronic and mechanical parts.
- • This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing solutions that maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable handling and disposition instructions.
- • You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance component management processes and documentation.
- • This position is designated as remote, allowing you to work from your U.S. residence while contributing to vital engineering services. Occasional travel to site locations may be required.
- • The company is committed to a secure hiring process, which may involve in-person interview steps regardless of the role's remote designation.
- • You will be part of a team that values innovation, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in supporting critical defense and aerospace applications.
- • This role offers a competitive salary range and eligibility for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off, depending on the specific business unit and employment agreement.
- • The opportunity to grow your career within a renowned organization like Raytheon, working on challenging and meaningful projects, is a significant aspect of this position.
