⢠As a Compounding Pharmacist at Hims & Hers Health, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and compliant preparation of personalized compounded medications that directly support the companyâs mission to make better health outcomes accessible and affordable. Your expertise will help scale innovative formulations while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory adherence.
⢠You will perform and accurately document compounding procedures, quality assurance/quality control checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations, ensuring all processes meet USP <795>, <800>, FDA, and Ohio State Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
⢠You will train and evaluate compounding personnel, fostering a culture of safety, precision, and continuous improvement within the lab team.
⢠You will review and approve materials for use in compounding, oversee equipment use and maintenance, and monitor the compounding environment in collaboration with the maintenance team to ensure optimal conditions for sterile and non-sterile preparations.
⢠You will work closely with R&D teams on the development and scale-up of new compounded formulations, translating laboratory innovations into scalable, compliant production processes.
⢠You will maintain a safety-first mindset, ensuring proper use of PPE, adherence to infection-control protocols, and safe handling of hazardous drugs in accordance with USP <800> and OSHA standards.
⢠You will perform pharmacist-related activities including patient consultation, drug utilization reviews, error documentation, and dispensing activities as needed, providing empathetic, accurate care to patients.
⢠You will coordinate with the Pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) on personnel, compliance, and regulatory matters, serving as a subject matter expert and operational leader in the compounding lab.
⢠You will develop and evaluate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the compounding lab and formulations, ensuring consistency, traceability, and regulatory readiness.
⢠You will maintain a clean, sanitary, and secure work environment, complying with FDA regulations and HIPAA requirements for protected health information (PHI).
⢠You will supervise support personnel, verify technician workflows, labeling, and order accuracy, and ensure operational excellence in dispensing and charge verification.
⢠You will protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols and ensuring proper respirator fit testing and PPE usage, including accommodations for facial hair that may compromise seal integrity.

đŻ Requirements
⢠Active Pharmacist License in Ohio
⢠2+ years of pharmacist experience, with at least 1+ year in a compounding pharmacy or relevant compounding experience
⢠Bachelorâs degree in Pharmacy
⢠Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations (including USP <795>, <800>, FDA, and Ohio State Board of Pharmacy)
⢠Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems
⢠Ability to work flexible shift times, including the Wednesday-Wednesday 8pm-8am shift with $9/hr shift differential
⢠Must be able to undergo respirator fit testing (facial hair that prevents proper seal may disqualify)
⢠Must be capable of working with small, delicate, expensive machinery to complete dosage forms accurately and timely
⢠Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds (up to 50lbs per conditions of employment) and stand for long periods
⢠Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment (PPE, respirators) for extended periods
⢠Must maintain HIPAA compliance and protect protected health information (PHI)
⢠Must be a knowledgeable and empathetic leader for in-person pharmacist and technician teams
⢠Must be able to work cross-functionally with remote teams
