- • As a Computer-Aided Manufacturing Software Engineer at Re:Build Manufacturing, you will play a critical role in advancing the company’s mission to revitalize U.S. manufacturing by developing innovative software solutions that enhance CNC machining processes and drive digital product innovation across aerospace, defense, healthcare, and other high-tech industries.
- • Day to day, you will develop high-performance algorithms for toolpath planning and CNC machining automation, build scalable software for local and cloud deployments, collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers on digital product development, and write robust, well-documented code using tools like BitBucket and Jira.
- • You will join a fast-paced, growth-oriented family of industrial and engineering businesses within Re:Build Manufacturing that values deep technical expertise, operational excellence, and a principled, collaborative culture where individuals are encouraged to stretch their potential and contribute to next-generation industrial solutions.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in CAM software, computational geometry, and real-time simulation systems while contributing to proprietary digital products and gaining ownership in the company through its employee ownership model, enabling both technical and professional growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Undergraduate degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, math, or general sciences
- • 5+ years of software engineering experience in computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) domain products and technology
- • High proficiency in C/C++ and at least one additional general-purpose language (e.g., C#, Java, Python)
- • Hands-on practical experience with CNC machining and engineering design, physics, and simulation concepts
- • Experience developing software for multiple 3D data domains including CAD, CAM, graphics, 3D scanning, and mechanical control systems
